Easiest, most upfront and clear car buying experience I have ever had. I have wanted an MX-5 Miata for 20 years and finally had the ability and the timing to do so. The pandemic has made purchasing a car a have ever had. I have wanted an MX-5 Miata for 20 years and finally had the ability and the timing to do so. The pandemic has made purchasing a car a total stress test for a variety of reasons, but David and the team at Elk Grove Mazda made my purchase experience the smoothest and most transparent I had ever experienced. Let's start with price: They provided me with an excellent price, no markups and no added fees. Second, when it came to add ons, there was zero pressure to purchase any additions to the car. Now, since I custom ordered the car, it took 3 months to arrive (which is typical). David kept in contact with me the entire time, sending me updates, answering any random questions I had and always doing so with an amazingly pleasant and respectful demeanor. Once the car arrived, David sent me a video of it right off the truck and set up a date and time for pickup. The family and I headed down to Elk Grove (we live about 80 miles away) on the day of pickup and found the car in the showroom with a huge bow on the hood. Presentation was spectacular. David took me for a test drive before signing any papers to make sure it was perfect. My wife and kids were treated exceptionally well by the entire staff. David took the time to clearly explain everything that was part of the purchase and when I went to the finance department, there was no funny business. The writeup was exactly as had been specified, with no additional markups or hidden fees. They gave me the time to read through everything with no pressure. When I had a question, it was clearly explained. So a few perks that came with purchasing from Elk Grove Mazda: 1. You get car washes free for life! 2. They extend the powertrain warrantee to 10yr, 100,000 miles AT NOT COST! 3. Any time you are there, you are treated like family. I have never had a better car buying experience. David knew everything that there was to know about the Miata and was just so professional. Any Mazda I ever buy will be through David even though he is far from the closest dealer to me. The dealership is beautifully modern and clean with nice amenities including water, coffee, snacks, and soft drinks.
