Purchase of AMG 43 I am writing this review in connection with the AMG 43 that I purchased on Friday at Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis. (I had tried to send this on Saturda I am writing this review in connection with the AMG 43 that I purchased on Friday at Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis. (I had tried to send this on Saturday, but for some reason the message did not go through – perhaps because I was trying to send it from my iPhone.) In any event, my experience was great at every level, and I have nothing but good things to say about the professionals that worked with me and my wife over the course of several months and then on Friday morning as to this purchase. My Sales executive was Wayne Discus, the Finance executive was Larry Cash, and the person in charge of the dealership is Mike Herron. All were great. As to Wayne, we stopped in some months ago on a trip down to Annapolis from our home in Philadelphia. I really was just browsing more than looking to buy. Wayne was very friendly and not at all a high-pressure salesman. He had a great knowledge of the product, and by being an excellent listener he came to understand what I was looking for in a new car. In short, I could not have been more impressed – to the point where I decided to purchase my new car from Wayne rather than at one of the dealerships much closer to my home. A big part of that was that Wayne is obviously a good and kind person, and another part of it was that he did have that product knowledge and tied it to my wants and needs in a new car. Perhaps most important of all, though, in my decision to buy from Wayne and the Annapolis dealership was the sense of trust that I developed in my discussions with Wayne over the course of many weeks. He kept me apprised as the car was being made in South Africa and then shipped to Baltimore, he answered all of my questions, and he addressed all of my concerns. From the time that we first met until he took me through the different features of the car on Friday, Wayne could not have done a better job. Again, he came through on the three things that meant the most to me in approaching the purchase: (1) product knowledge; (2) kindness and niceness; and (3) trust. Larry Cash did a great job, also, in taking me through the finance side of the purchase. He had a good sense of humor and a good sense of business, and he was able to explain things clearly and to address all of my questions. I was also impressed with the way that Wayne and Larry worked together on the purchase and delivery, always looking out for my best interests as the customer and purchaser of the car. Larry also demonstrated a strong knowledge of the different finance features and plans he took me through, and he struck a good balance in explaining the value of the different ones but not crossing into doing any hard selling after I made my decisions. Mike Herron had stopped over to say hello when my wife and I first visited the dealership late in the summer, and he made it a point to come over and say hello on Friday. I credit him for the great atmosphere at the dealership and for the teamwork that is so apparent there as the different professionals work together to serve the needs of the dealership’s customers. It is a great team, and I am sure that I am only one of many, many satisfied and very happy buyers from Mike and his team. In fact, the experience was so good that my wife and I are looking to purchase her next car from the dealership there in a year or so, and we’ll be looking to work again with Wayne, Larry, and Mike on that purchase.
