New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolet's and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1970. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current pre-owned department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

He took time to make sure I knew my way around the instrument panel, pared my IPhone and got me connected with My Subaru! Very patient and unhurried… Michelle Happy did a great job with the financial end of things! General Mgr., Andrew Volant, was the key to getting the numbers where they needed to be. And since taking my Forester Ltd home he has continued to help this 70+ year old Lady with questions. More

This was my first experience buying a car at New Motors and had a very positive experience. I live about 60 miles from the dealership so was able to spend a couple days by phone going over a deal with St and had a very positive experience. Very nice and knowledgeable salesman and hope to do business in the future with him. Right off the bat he made me a good offer with little or no hassle. Never liked the days when I had to come back 3-4 times and haggle till I was exhausted. Very good experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a new car. More
