It’s been about two months since my mother purchased her first Subaru from New Motors, and I have to say it’s the happiest she’s ever been in a car. About two years prior I tried to get her to buy a Suba first Subaru from New Motors, and I have to say it’s the happiest she’s ever been in a car. About two years prior I tried to get her to buy a Subaru and get rid of her other car, but she decided to stick with her other car for a little while. During this failed attempt to move her into a Subaru we met a man named Stephen Kolenda. Stephen took my mother out for a drive in a Subaru Outback, and at that time she checked out the speaker system in the car, as she loves to listen to classical music. She really enjoyed the Outback but wasn’t ready to jump into a new car that time. Fast-forward two years later, and unfortunately my mother was in a car accident, which she still is currently recovering from, but when I called Stephen Kolenda on the phone when I found out her other car had been totaled on Thanksgiving, not thinking about the fact that it was Thanksgiving, he immediately called me back, and asked, “how are you and your mom doing?” To my surprise and admiration, he then said, “I remember how much she loved classical music when we went for the drive.” It was a real moment of humanity in a crazy time. That kind of personal memory, and attention to detail is exactly what I found to be present with Stephen from the beginning discussion of purchasing a Subaru, to the final agreement. He went above and beyond in every way possible and truly worked to get my mother into a new car that she was comfortable in. It took less than five days from start to finish, and I was able to negotiate mostly on her behalf, as she was medically recuperating. The Subaru has proven its worth in Erie’s winter this year, and Stephen has proven to be the most honest, genuine, forthright, and honorable sales representative that I have ever worked with in purchasing a vehicle in my life. Through his true dedication to service and responsible sales, he has guaranteed that my entire family will be converting to Subarus in the future.
