This dealership is topnotch. They have excellent mechanics and customer service. I'm quite pleased. My Jetta is a 2012 I bought there and I would do it again. They have excellent mechanics and customer service. I'm quite pleased. My Jetta is a 2012 I bought there and I would do it again. More

I am extremely disappointed in this dealership. Because this dealership is close to my home, I have exclusively brought my 2014 VW Jetta here for major repairs. This past repair, I was recommended Because this dealership is close to my home, I have exclusively brought my 2014 VW Jetta here for major repairs. This past repair, I was recommended a new boot for the top passenger side wheel and recommended to install two new brake pads in the rear driver wheel and rear passenger side wheel. Because I trusted their recommendations, I did so. After the mechanics repaired the car, I drove it back to my home and drove it only a few days to the grocery store and to work. On my last day driving, before I got ill, I noticed the brake light popped on. I thought the mechanic just forgot to clear a code or something similar. Unfortunately, I developed strep with a high fever and could not drive. After this, I then had a complication due to the strep and had to have major oral surgery that prevented me from driving for an additional week. In total, I drove for only 5 days after the mechanic serviced my car. These were trips to the grocery store and to work nearby. When I was finally able to come in, they took my car and let me know that one of the pistons in the caliper was broken and was leaking brake fluid. I would have to have it replaced for a total of $848 + tax with an additional fee for checking the issue with the vehicle. I explained that I had just had the car serviced for that specific side where they had changed the brake pads and I had not driven it much since I had been severely sick and just had oral surgery. They then told me that this was not an issue with the work that the mechanic did, but instead it was possibly an issue with the caliper itself. The service consultant then let me know that the car was unsafe to drive and that I should get it fixed. After the several thousand dollars in medical bills and now this I felt extremely preyed upon, especially with how they were pushing the service. I declined the service because I could not afford the extra $1,000 bill. It was a matter of my health or getting my car serviced. I want to make it clear that the caliper at this point was 2 years old. This made me do some research and ask some questions in my workplace. I was told by an experienced mechanic in my place of work and by coworkers (I work in the trucking industry) that vehicles’ calipers should last 75,000-100,000 miles before being replaced. Up unto this point, I had only drive the car a total of 16,000+ miles since I replaced the calipers. I was also alerted by one of our mechanics that they have to remove the caliper in order to change those brake pads. I instantly became angry. $1,000 for a mistake that was clearly the mechanic’s fault since he carelessly ruined my caliper. Absolutely unacceptable. I went to our family mechanic and he changed the old caliper with a new caliper I found at AutoZone. All together for the work and the part I paid a total of $220. I have not had an issue since. He told me that the mechanic at your VW who serviced my vehicle most likely ruined the caliper while changing it. I wanted to get the part serviced at your location because it’s a VW dealership and comes with a warranty and what I thought was honest and good service. But your dishonesty, lack of care for my vehicle, and greedy mentality has lost me as a once loyal customer. I see that you have hundreds of positive reviews from possibly wealthier clients and I may be a drop in the bucket, but preying on honest, hardworking people is disgusting. I work hard for my money. I take care of my car. It’s quite clear that your dealership just likes to scam and ruin cars in order to make more money. They always talk about the money hungry used car salesman, but it’s clear that this also applies to your VW as well. Take me off of the mailing lists, the call lists and the email lists. I no longer want contact with a dealership that preys on hardworking people. More
