I was back at Smythe yesterday to pick up my new car. I drove a little further (and past other Volvo dealerships) to get there but it was well worth the extra travel. Everyone at the dealership is kind, courteous, and helpful. Everyone I was introduced offered their assistance if at a future time I have any questions about the car and how things work. They accommodated my schedule and walked me through everything thoroughly and efficiently. I was also introduced to the staff in the service area that I will be dealing with in the future. I have bought several cars in the past and none of the dealerships or staff took these extra steps. Mostly I want to mention my sales person, Chris. He is everything you would want in a car salesman but don't usually get. There was no pressure, no gimmicks, and no tricks. Instead there was patience, diligence, cooperation and conscientiousness. That combined with his extensive knowledge of the car made the entire car buying experience a joy. More

From the moment we walked in to the dealer to the time we signed and picked up our xc60 I never once had this feeling. The knowledge and friendliness of each and every employee was fantastic! Chris was exceptional on all levels. Being a young couple my husband and I have gotten that “you can’t afford this why are you waiting our time” look from other dealers, which always pisses me off. When we walked in off the street Chris greeted us with a smile and helped us choose between the xc60 and xc90, both of which I loved! Not once did I feel like we were looked down on because we are a young couple. He pointed out that with our current situation we do not need such a large SUV, and that we would be much happier in the xc60. He spent time search for the perfect car that fit into our budget and was a pleasure to work with. More
We love Smythe Volvo. There service department is excellent. Whenever we have a problem, we just call and they fit us in within a day or two. The service people are very professional, accommodating, and friendly. They have very nice loaner cars available which you arrange when you set up your appointment. My car required routine service and examination of a piece of trim for damage. The car was ready when promised, the agency did not need to replace the trim and didn't do so even though it could have an piece of trim for damage. Volvo makes a big deal about safety. This is the principle reason I have owned 15 Volvos over the years. I understand why bragging about safety sells cars for Volvo. The issue of our car seat catching on fire was pretty traumatic, however, the service team was willing to take the car in immediately. After ordering the parts it was determined that the replacement cov traumatic, however, the service team was willing to take the car in immediately. After ordering the parts it was determined that the replacement cover for the seat may take weeks to be shipped. I contacted Dave (after service had closed) and he was willing to work with me to secure a loaner. Ryan called very soon afterward...he was still working...and suggested I come in the next day to get the loaner. Apparently, when he got into the office the following day he discussed the situation with his parts team and they were able to get all the necessary parts and fix it that same day. No loaner needed...car was fixed...no charges? Wow. Nice job guys. Tim O'Krongly More
Smythe Volvo has been my car dealer since 1978. The service department is a major factor for my loyalty. All the people I have had experience with have been considerate, friendly, and competent..I feel service department is a major factor for my loyalty. All the people I have had experience with have been considerate, friendly, and competent..I feel that the money i have spent on servicing my car has been worth the cost. My 2004' S 80 has 124,000 miles and rides very well for the age of the car. My last contact was a short time ago when I was concerned about a possible transmission problem. Service Manager Nick Pavano handled my problem and concern tactfully and assured me that my concern was not an issue of any magnitude. What a relief !!! Thanks Mr. Pavano and Smythe service. More
