Southoak Dodge was a great experience , everybody was friendly. But I only felt with Erin and Ray, Erin was great. What a nightmare. We bought a used Dodge Caravan from this dealership in late May. By August 1, I thought something was wrong with the brakes. My husband brought it in and they diagnosed it as a master c this dealership in late May. By August 1, I thought something was wrong with the brakes. My husband brought it in and they diagnosed it as a master cylinder issue. $650 later, and we were told the problem was fixed. And it was. For about a month. At the beginning of September the brakes went out again. We brought it back to the dealership, given a rental, and were told that it was a faulty master cylinder. They replaced it, free of charge. Said the problem was fixed. NOPE. ONE WEEK LATER the brakes went out again. This time, we were told it was something with an ABS seal causing the master cylinder to malfunction. They fixed it, again, free of charge. And said the problem was fixed. Unfortunately for us, the problem was NOT fixed. Just this past Tuesday, driving home from Chicago, the brakes started failing AGAIN. We went directly to the dealer and they gave us a rental and said they'd look at it. Now, they diagnosed a problem of a faulty hydraulic control unit. We were originally quoted a price of $800 to fix it, before my husband argued them down to it being replaced for free. FOUR times we have brought our van in over the span of 2 months. For the same issue. FOUR times, we have been without our own personal vehicle. And this time, while waiting for our car to be fixed, we were asked to bring back the van they gave us as a loaner the other day because they needed to sell it. More inconvenience for my family, and now we are put into a smaller car while we wait for our van to possibly be fixed. I do not have any faith in this service department and I am terified to drive the van again when it comes back. We have been very fortunate so far as to not have been involved with any accidents with the unsafe vehicle this dealership sold us. Update: Some employees at the dealership have been very helpful in trying to rectify this situation. (Tim in Service and Johnathan have been very helpful at least) Or so we thought. Our salesman called, and wanted to know what he could do to help, etc. He made the suggestion of trading the van in for something else. At first, this sounded like a great idea to us, we could get out of this vehicle that we are afraid to take our family anywhere in, and we started to shop around for a different vehicle. We had assumed, that they would be giving us what we paid for it (4 months ago) in a trade. Oh how we were wrong. It came out that the used car sales manager was only willing to give us HALF of what we paid for our van. Instead of trying to help us, or "restore our faith in the dealership", he apparently saw it as a good time to try to make some more money off of us. How incredibly insulting. Our time, frustration, and inconvenience means nothing to these people. We will never buy another car from this dealership. More

When the license plates were put on my vehicle, they were put on crooked. The holes are not even side by side. The back door was uneven. It was taken to the body shop to be repaired. When the body shop made the doors even they scratched all the paint off of the screws. I had to come back to the dealership where they were nice enough to give me matching paint. I am still waiting for the clear coat. The night I came in to the dealership I already had financing. They gave me a reduced price with all my rebates. When I came in the next day Mark Hester wanted to remove $500.00 because I had my own financing and it did not come from the dealership. I told him yesterday's price stands or I walk away. My sales person was Erin Garcia, who I had an excellent experience with. She completely did her job perfect, she constantly did not harass me into buying a vehicle she gave me the required space and took t experience with. I was not an easy customer for the simple fact that I am young, I'm twenty-two years of age with barely any credit. But she keep trying and trying to put me in a car that best suited me and my family needs. I visited South Oak Dodge previously about 2 years ago which I had a very negative experience with a former sales person who constantly harassed me about getting a car. The former sales person would call my cellphone about five times a day and my job at least three times. After that experience I vowed to never return back but out of curiousity I returned a few days ago to check out prices for used cars, and I was approached by Erin Garcia who was very friendly and nice and was able to relate to me. A few days later I found myself driving in a brand new 2014 Jeep Patriot and although its only been a few days I love my patriot. Because of Ms. Erin Garcia customer service and I can not picture myself doing business with any other dealership but South Oak Dodge. I visited countless number of dealerships and none gave me as much wonderful customer service as Ms. Garcia did. I am proud and happy to be her first sell. South Oak Dodge is in my personal opinion the greatest and honesty dealership located in the south suburbs. More

My experience with South Oak Dodge began the evening of October 2, 2013 while on the internet looking to trade my 2008 Ford F-150 FX4. I was in the process of finding a vehicle that had less mileage and so October 2, 2013 while on the internet looking to trade my 2008 Ford F-150 FX4. I was in the process of finding a vehicle that had less mileage and something that was cheaper in payment per month. While on line I found a 2011 Dodge Ram that I picked. The first person I had contact with was Navar of internet sales. Navar set my appointment up with Rene Levy the next day 10/3/13. My experience was very good and the staff was excellent. Mr. Levy and Mr. Maldonado was very professional, courteous, and honest. The staff worked very diligent at placing me in the right vehicle with the right price. One more thing the staff really values the customer's time by getting things done in a timely fashion. I will definitely recommend this dealership to family and friends. More
