Southland Dodge was opened in July 1968 by Joe Teuton Jr., Jeff Teuton, and Dennis Oncale. Joe and Dennis were experienced auto technicians at Downtown Auto Service on Lafayette St, and Jeff was a college graduate in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. They were also avid drag racers, and they were all under 30 years of age. The first location at 505 Sunset Ave featured a one-car showroom and a 10 car parking lot. Their racing background helped them to sell lots of Dodge Superbees, Chargers, and Challengers in the early years.

had to order parts 3 times before I was able to get my jeep fixed. Over 2 months of trying to get my parts to fix my vehicle. I work in inventory control and I can promise you that someone completely drop jeep fixed. Over 2 months of trying to get my parts to fix my vehicle. I work in inventory control and I can promise you that someone completely dropped the ball on this one. I blame the parts department for not following through with an order, and not telling me what is really going on with the order. Will be trading in or selling my Jeep Rubicon 2 door very soon and will never go back!!!! More
