Cheap Saleperson Tactics I'll start with a brief background. Between my wife and I we have leased 2 Volvos (XC60, XC90) and purchased one GMC 2500HD from Tasca since 2015. The I'll start with a brief background. Between my wife and I we have leased 2 Volvos (XC60, XC90) and purchased one GMC 2500HD from Tasca since 2015. The lease is almost up on the XC90 so we have been doing our research on our next vehicle. The top contenders are, or were, the Infiniti QX80, Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition or GMC Yukon Denali. Obviously these aren't entry level vehicles and finding the right fit and a fair deal is important. We visited Tasca GMC in Woonsockett back in Feb/March and met with Doug White, who actually sold me my truck back in November of '18. Doug was great, no pressure, we told him the situation we were in and that is was going to be 6 months or so before we were ready to make a move. He went and got us a few vehicles to test drive, talked us through it all, and shook our hands and said thank you when we were done. Ultimately we decided that a GM product wasn't going to fit our needs for an SUV. In April we stopped at Tasca in Cranston and met with Mike Mulba, who leased us the XC90 that we are getting ready to replace. Again, Mike was great. We explained our situation, he showed us a few things, talked us through it all and we test drove that day. Shook our hand, said thank you, and we went on our way. Fast forward to today. My wife brought her XC90 in for service, routine maintenance and a turn signal malfunction. She asked for a trade evaluation in order to see if we may be able to trade in a few months early if the value exceeded the pay off. Service said they weren't able to do that while it was in and that had to be run through sales. When service was finished she was ushered over to the sales department and was paired up with Tony, and a newer salesman Carlos. She again explained the reason for wanting to do a trade evaluation, to which they ignored her request and started in on the sales pitch. She told them we were considering an Expedition among a few others. They were relentless with trying to sell her an Expedition Platinum, and trying to get her to test drive one. She very politely explained to them that she was not there to buy or lease a vehicle today and that we had already test drove the Expedition. And she also explained that she had worked overnight, hadn't had much sleep, and didn't have the time or energy to do anything other than have her car evaluated while she was there for service. Again, they wouldn't back off the sales pitch. And we're talking the cheap sales tactics that anyone who spent $50 on a sales seminar at the local Marriott would use. Trial closes, talking about payments instead of hard numbers, "would you like the black one or the white one?", just cheap, slimy tactics that give car salesman a bad name. After 2 hours and her asking for her keys no less than 4 times she was finally "allowed" to leave, and still did not have a trade evaluation on her car. This experience has me completely frustrated with Tasca. I will never do one bit of business with any Tasca dealership ever again. I will not recommend any Tasca dealership to anyone I know. And to be perfectly honest, this experience has us taking a harder look at the Infiniti and wanting nothing to do with a Ford product. You have lost at least two good customers today. I do want to say that Carlos did not really have much to do with this as he was following direction from Tony. More
Easiest Car Buying Experience This was the easiest and fasted car buying experience. We already knew what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend. Our sales consultant, Eric, did a great job of working with us and getting the price to where we needed it to be. Everything was very transparent and explained in detail. The financing was don't quickly, even thought it was a Sunday. Rob, the finance manager on that day, was wonderful at explaining all options and paperwork that needed to be signed. The facility was also very comfortable and clean. All in all this was a perfect car buying experience. More

Easy in to drop off car. Went at 9:30 to complete a air bag recall. I was able to leave car. Also got an oil change and a basic safety check. Promptly done by 3pm but we chose not to pic up til 6 pm. Friday, October 18, I was told to come in & the “Dent man” would fix a small door dent. Because of miscommunications (not on my part) I was asked to come back at 1:00pm. Giuseppe Moretta & Ken Petracone were helpful & steered me to Steve D’Lena in Service. Steve was very helpful & took the lead in facilitating the fix for my door.
