I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience I had during my recent visit to your service department. I scheduled my appointment for 10:00 AM, and I was informed by Lacy that the service would take approximately an hour and 20 minutes. Unfortunately, my car was not ready until shortly after 1:00 PM. This significant delay caused me to waste my only day off sitting in an uncomfortable waiting area, away from my children. One of the reasons I chose your location was due to the amenities advertised on your website, such as a child play area and a complimentary shuttle. However, when I inquired about these services, your employees laughed and informed me that they had not been available for years. This was both frustrating and misleading. I strongly recommend updating your website to reflect the current services offered so that customers can plan accordingly. Additionally, I suggest reconsidering how many appointments you schedule if you cannot meet the promised timelines. It’s unfair to customers who rely on accurate time estimates and efficient service. When I voiced my frustration to a service team member, they had to search for Lacy because she was unresponsive to my text messages, further adding to my negative experience. Considering the long wait time, the lack of communication, and being misled about the services offered, I believe I deserve a discount or some form of compensation. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I will not be recommending your service department to others unless improvements are made. I came in seeking a simple part, and they try to up-sell me a ridiculous un-needed diagnostic test. This was for a windshield wiper. I don't blame the attendant, but the whole system. I am told now that I am out of warranty that I need to pay $5400 to fix an oil leak where the signs of the leak have been present for the last three years?!? I get it, warranty reimbursement doesn’t pay the same as gouging customers, so just wait until the warranty is expired to bring it up. No I will never to business with Toyota Direct again. Please take me off of your mailing list and do not call me to schedule service. More
