Service appointment had issues during the appointment due to short staffing and wait time. However, it was made right by the Service Manager several days later. On June 24 I brought my Foreruuner in for an oil change. The tech and mechanic suggested an engine decarb so i agreed. Within 30 mile of leaving the garage my car started sputtering and several warning ligh The tech and mechanic suggested an engine decarb so i agreed. Within 30 mile of leaving the garage my car started sputtering and several warning lights came on.The car had to be towed back to the garage. The next morning I called a couple times and had to leave a message. A different tech called back and said Isatou would call back shortly. At about 2 in the afternoon l called again. She answered and then said she would get with mechanic. She called back and advised that something had got stuck in my air intake manifold. Without asking she advised it had nothing to do with the decarb. It would require a major repair and a wait on parts. The total was about $1900. They sent a shuttle to pick me up but advised they don't do loaners but I could rent a vehicle form the in `house Hertz rental. About $200. I picked up my car the following Monday. The service statement listed diagnosis with NO mention of the manifold. Nice CYA by the way. I called the service dept manager and left my number. I even sent him an email. No response. I bought my forerunner from Toyota Direct 25 years ago. It has 122,000 miles. They have done every single service and I have trusted their advice. I like to think this was a new mechanic and didn't know what a decarb can do on an older vehicle. Even worse if he did. I will never recommend Toyota Direcct to anyone and you will never see me in their dealership again. More

I have purchased 7 or 8 cars from this dealership over many years. I am very happy with their services. I will buy another car from them when by 2008 Highlander Hybrid goes to that great resting place f many years. I am very happy with their services.
