He listened to what I was looking for (3rd row seat, certain years, etc.) and did a great job in finding that for me. Horrible Experience at Toyota of Naperville We had a terrible experience at this dealership when we visited them last week. I test drove a used certified Camry LE, liked it and told them I'd tak We had a terrible experience at this dealership when we visited them last week. I test drove a used certified Camry LE, liked it and told them I'd take it. As I was supposed to get the vehicle financed, they asked me to block it by paying $500 through my Credit card which would be refunded later after they receive the check for the full amount. I agreed and informed by Finance company about the purchase who initiated the check issuing process. Now, the deal happened on Saturday with my credit card being charged for the agreed amount, the check was issued on Monday(Sunday being an off day) and received at the dealership on Tuesday. But on Tuesday, when I am all set to go to the dealership and get my new purchase home, I receive a call from a salesperson Brian with whom I have had no interaction all this while telling me the worst thing I have heard in a long time. He says "Sorry, the sales lady (Klaudia) you had a deal with was on a leave yesterday and your car was mistakenly sold off to somebody else". I was obviously shocked and angry hearing this and it took me a good while to accept that he was indeed serious and not making up the whole thing to have some fun at my expense. He followed it up with offering me other vehicles which were supposedly as good as the one I was supposed to buy but I refused because they clearly weren't, at least not in my eyes. The whole thing resulted in a lot of waste of time on my part with me having to call up the finance and insurance companies and apprise them of the latest developments with regards to my purchase. Not to mention the effort involved in starting the car search from scratch again and the frustration of losing a deal that I thought I had just made. Bottom Line- I don't know if I was a victim of a lousy sales and customer management system or a cunning dealership with unethical practices being a routine affair. But what I know is that it was an experience that reflects poorly on Toyota of Naperville and ensures that I would think twice before visiting them again for anything. Also, I'd make sure that I share the experience I had with as many prospective buyers as I can so that people may know that Toyota of Naperville isn't as good as the average ratings show here. More
