Hello Michel, I am sorry if there was any confusion about the warranty package on your vehicle. When we write a customer's vehicle we have no way of knowing what might be the root cause of the issue. We also do not know whether that root cause would be covered by the warranty package you purchased. That is why we ask for approval of a diagnostic charge. Obviously, if the issue is covered by the warranty package there would be no diagnostic charge whatsoever. However, if it is not a covered item, we still have time and equipment involved in the diagnostic which is when that charge would come into play. We do not ask for a deposit or anything like that at all. Just a verbal agreement that in the event something is not covered that you will be responsible for any charges incurred.
