Service personnel excellence! On Sunday June 9, 2019 my 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe decided to shut down all of its systems at mile marker 208.5 on Florida's Turnpike. AAA towed it to Un On Sunday June 9, 2019 my 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe decided to shut down all of its systems at mile marker 208.5 on Florida's Turnpike. AAA towed it to Universal Hyundai in Orlando. The service department was closed at the time but Ramces Rivera calmed my friend and I and took over getting the proper paperwork filled out so that a service tech could diagnose the problem on Monday. Ramces showed us how to contact an UBER so that we could get a rental car and continue on our way to Gainesville to attend classes that week. On Monday, Stefan Luna contacted me to apologize that the service technicians hadn't been able to look at my vehicle but would do so first thing Tuesday. He kept his word and called me Tuesday afternoon to explain that the alternator had died and that the cause was a defective timing cover gasket which had leaked oil onto the alternator. He went over the technician's recommendations, discussed the cost of just replacing the alternator or doing a proper job of examining and replacing the 10 year old gaskets and belts as necessary. The work was done promptly and the Santa Fe was ready as requested Thursday morning, June 13th. Stefan came in on his day off to be sure to be there when I arrived.We made it back home to Broward County Thursday afternoon...safe and sound and with no further problems. I cannot say enough good things about the level of service and attention to detail and customer care that my friend and I received at this dealership! Dissapointed I week ago I bought a used car. very good in and out but I wanted to be sure that I will be headache free taking the car for inspection at Hyundai Un I week ago I bought a used car. very good in and out but I wanted to be sure that I will be headache free taking the car for inspection at Hyundai Universal for a complete diagnostic. I took some picture from the outside because while I was waiting in line inside my vehicle for assistance I saw the staff doing the same thing to the car to be serviced ahead of me. I thought everything will b okay both sides are covered with the pictures taken of the car. Meanwhile I was waiting outside I saw my car leaving the perimeter. I didnt expected that my car would b driven out of the shop area.I panicked but, I saw others cars leaving the perimeter from the inspection shop with the mechanic as a driver so, I just chilled down. When I picked up my car from the vacuum area I noticed that the driver and companion carpet were missing and one of the wheel rim suffered a light damage or want the original I have installed before go into the inspection. I was so frustrated that I drove back home. I tried to avoid future or correct future problem with the car but happened the contrary. now i have a problem and no answers. I drove back to Universal Hyundai with the hope to find a peaceful and nice solution. but what I got was be aggravated by the Service advisor when he told me that I had to show him that wheel was hit for them. The pictures I took were uncleared to see that the damage wasnt there before ahead even the pics he took that he didnt Zoom them dont show that in effect that damage wasnt there. The missing carpets he denied as well there were missing. But what really pissed me off when he told me that the car never left the place when I saw it been driving away at 12:44. Recommendation. Take pictures inside and outside of your vehicle even the insignificant ones . take your time. zoom every area to avoid what happened to me today May 6, 2019 property cosmetic damaged and missing items with no convinced answers. Long wait time, no communication, no transparency. I went in for a recall issue and was told it would only be 1 hour and after two hours was told my car hasn't even been seen yet. I am attempting to get in contact with general manager Simo Bassi or CEO William Nero to get my issue resolved and no one is willing to give me their information although it states on their announcements while on hold on the phone that they will gladly give you that information. I made an appointment for the following Tuesday at 7AM. I had missed a call Saturday to confirm my Tuesday appointment and called Sunday to confirm. Tuesday I arrived about 5 min early and was approached by someone holding a tablet. He asked If I had an appointment and I told him yes and gave my name. He said the service consultants would be out in about ten minutes and that they were in a meeting. (A meeting that causes you to be late for your customers that had appointments?) Ok so another customer showed up while I was waiting and said he didn't have an appointment but wanted to see the same consultant I was waiting for. When my consultant "Rhonda" came out, she went right to the guy that had no appointment because she knew him. They walked off and talked and laughed. I heard them discuss his car and what he wanted done. Then after several more minutes, she came over to me and asked how I was. I told her fine and gave the details of my vehicle. She said she would call once they looked it over. After almost 4 hours, I had to call and leave a message. Then waited another half hour before she called back. Then she told me they had just finished looking at it. "Looking?" I told her I would just come and pick it up and I was very unhappy. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, Rhoda was not there. I was told she had stepped out and I would have to wait. I then asked to speak with a supervisor because I was in a hurry. The consultant told me that the supervisor was in a meeting and could not come out. I said how can there be no one available to speak with customers and solve issues. He responded with well if they knew what time you were coming they could be here. "Really? shouldn't there be management available at all times while open for business?" So someone called Rohda and said she would be here in a couple minutes. When she arrived, she addressed me by the wrong name. I told her that wasn't my name. Then she corrected herself. I told her I was in a hurry and just wanted to pay for the synthetic oil change they had done. She tried to charge me for a diagnostic fee that no one had mentioned at all. I told her I would pay for the oil change only. She was not happy but began to change the paper work to reflect this. Twice she mumbled that the diagnostic fee would be coming out of her paycheck. Very poor experience due to waiting time and over-sell. So today I was going in for an oil change and a tire rotation/balance (with a schedules 10:45 am appointment). I was told by service advisor that it would be about 1.5 hrs. So after 3 hr wait the service advisor comes over and tells me that my car needs over $1,000 in repairs. I have told service advisor that I've been up since 12 am this morning and can't wait any more time. This was already a mistake that was made by me coming here and waiting over 3 hrs for a simple oil change and tire rotation/balance. The service was very poor and I ended up over paying for my visit. More
