All Valley Honda staff with whom we dealt were courteous, professional and helpful. None were pushy or annoyingly solicitous. Our new-car (CRV-EX) purchasing experience at Valley Honda was pleasurable. We found the dealership, clean, neat, well organized. I joked to my wife that I had reservations about buying a car from guys who dress better than me. All sales staff that we met or observed looked very professional in their starch white shirts and ties. My wife liked the neat, tidy, professional look. My only regret is that she now wants me to upgrade my wardrobe and "sartorial" habits. Foremost in this pleasant experience was our "guide"through the decision-making process, Tom Propersi. Tom's laid-back manner suited us. He was thorough and seemed intuitive regarding our interests. He was knowledgeable, respectful and patient - even as he knew that we would be plying options other than Valley Honda. He helpfully and adroitly outlined the various options available to us - facilitating our final choices. We dealt with Tom three times including the day of purchase. He was the same patient, helpful, insightful guy each time. He spent much time acclimating us to our new car and its multiple features - including how to navigate the software interfaces. For this, we are grateful and look forward to a continued relationship with Valley Honda. We've been Honda (CRV) owners since 2005. Too, we've had satisfactory experiences with the service department which we expect to continue. I'd say more, but I've got to go out and buy some new white dress shirts. With the money that Tom helped us save on the purchase, I'll be able to buy a lot of shirts. More
The best without a doubt There is absolutely no reason not to purchase a vehicle at Honda without Dave Zisk’s help. If he’s busy come back when he’s not (not kidding)but then again I’m fairly certain someone else can help(and chances are they would be amazing) Although I’m coming at this from an angle of loyalty PLEASE don’t let that deter from seeing him. Knowing that there was a high chance that we might not even buy, he still gave us stellar service. He was very responsive (via text, email and phone). He knew that we were hesitant to come to the dealership and be "swamped" by salespeople. It seemed like he always took that into consideration when interacting with us. He was very easy to talk to. We told him what we wanted, gave him our budget and told him that we had to stay within our budget. He respected that and got us exactly what we wanted (within our budget). We walked out of Valley Honda with a 2018 Pilot. If you are looking for a vehicle, stop by Valley Honda and ask for Jason Yap - you will not be disappointed! More
Customer Service and prices are abysmal I had the transmission light go on and took the truck to Valley Honda. I was informed that one of the catalytic converters needed replacing. They said they would call when it came in but I had to pay for the parts upfront. I reluctantly agreed to do so and waited over a week with no call from them. I called and yes the parts were in and I can bring the vehicle in and they would install them. In the process of installing, now another problem was found, (A cap was leaking) and that had to be replaced. Needless to say, they kept coming back with more to fix. After complaining to the service manager about the additional costs that appeared to be their fault, the price was reduced but they still wanted me to pay for other parts that needed to be ordered. I refused and got out of there as quickly as I could. What a ripoff. I thought based on the reviews, I would get good service. Instead I payed three times as much if I had gone to a local repair shop. Avoid them if you can.... More
Don't bother going to any other Honda dealerships in Dupage After gathering various quotes and assessing what a good deal would be on a new Odyssey, I came into Valley so they could assess my trade-in's value. Not only did they give my lightly driven Sorento the value I thought appropriate, they met me on a great deal for the car too. The customer service and facility were unmatched compared to other dealerships we visited. JD and then Fred were both very kind and accommodating. Fred went especially above and beyond as we brought in our two young kids when making the final purchase, going so far as to do the paperwork in the kids' area (which was a life saver). My only criticism is how despite filling out information online, sending in copies of required documentation and having already negotiated trade-in and car price, the process can still take so long. Granted, Fred did his best to keep things going (even removing our car seats for us), but there has to be a way in 2018 to make this process faster. So, by all means be prudent and get quotes and visit other dealerships, but you'll probably end up back at Valley. More
