If you are looking for a "good deal" with no hassle I would not recommend this dealer. We wanted to actually buy a car from this dealer as it was close to our home and if we need service it's co hassle I would not recommend this dealer. Issues we had: The Sales Department - we started shopping for a car, did our research, went and test drove the car, then back again - sales person we first worked with was unavailable, so we worked with another sales rep - who provided us with incorrect facts about the car. We then went back for a third time and at this point were ready to purchase the car, but yet again the two previous sales reps we worked with were unavailable and now we are on our third sales rep and second manager. We discussed price, then asked for an appraisal on our trade in, they came back with an insulting trade in value, as we had gone to CarMax and they were $1800 higher. We told the sales manager this was insulting and wondered if he would consider more for the trade in, at that point he said go to CarMax and get that, you won't get anything higher (we did at Honda of Joliet $2000 higher than their quote). We left and went to Honda of Joliet and purchased our vehicle, although it is now in the shop for an oil leak - we've had the car one week. SERVICE Dept - I brought my car that we've owned for one week to Valley Honda as it is close to our house. Immediately I was told that I didn't purchase the car from them, really? I'm well aware of that. Then he said too bad you didn't see the oil leak before you bought the car. Ok. Long story short I had to "beg" for a loaner - because I didn't purchase the car from that dealer and he told me they had to rip the engine apart to see where the leak was coming from. In summary, take the time to go to a dealer who wants to make a sale and actually will work with you. If you have a trade in - go to car max and get it appraised - they will give you a written quote and it was "free". More
To-day I stopped by at the dealership to check on getting a damaged fender repaired. Nick saw me and greeted with great enthusiasm, when he saw the damaged fender he showed great concern and tried and suc a damaged fender repaired. He then gave the car a complimentary carwash and Lorenzo wiped the car dry. The car is fixed so well and I can not believe that I damaged the fender, it looked very very normal. This is very good example of great service after the sale. I bought the car from Nick almost three years ago and he still remembered me and helped in time of need. Usually salesmen do not even bother to greet after the sale is completed. You at Valley Honda should be proud of Employees like Nick and Lorenzo. My sincere thanks to Nick and Lorenzo who came to my rescue, this morning and made mu day that started very rough. More
I was very impressed that Kurt, the sales manager, took my non-sales related emergency request seriously and provided a timely help. It was an early evening of Friday afternoon, my Honda CRV '08 failed to start miles away from home. I called many places but got slow responses. When I called Valley Honday, Kurt told me that the service department was closed, but he can offer me a loaner as long as I can manage to get there and he will ask mechanics to check my car the first thing next morning. This is a big relief to me at the time I was very upset about the trouble. After I arrived Valley Honday, I noticed that sales people were busy closing the deals for the day, however, Kurt still completed all the paper work quickly and give me the key of Honda Accord loaner so my family can head home soon. Early next morning, Mike from the service department called and told me nothing wrong with my car, hence, no charge. I really apprecieate such a good customer service and business ethics. I wasn't at the time to purchase a car but still was treated like a valued customer. When there is nothing wrong with my car, they just give me an honest call and thank me for the business. I highly recommend this dealership. I'm sure I will consider to buy my next car at Valley Honda. More
I live on the far South side of Chicago, Illinois, but I travel to Valley Honda in Naperville/Aurora to get service on my Honda Accord. My husband wanted to wait at the dealer as oppose to going to the mall. Well, while waiting, I decided to look at the cars. I ran into Joe Barsalona and asked him some questions about their cars. He was soooo helpful, not pushy, just a very kind guy. I went there for brakes on my Accord, but with Joe's help, I left there with Honda's CR-V, SUV. He went over every detail about the Honda CR-V. He even helped with some of the programming. I was extremely pleased with his services. I received a followup call from him the very next working day to see how my new ride was doing and was told that I could contact him anytime if I have any questions. My overall experience with Valley Honda in Naperville/Aurora was fantastic. I would recommend them to all of my friends. I know the next time, my husband will choose to go to the mall. LOL. More
Exceptional customer service and outstanding work on my car. I saw online that they did dent removal. I had a large dent in my hatchback and scapes on my rear bumper. I went in for a quote and the price was reasonable, plus they would even provided me a car for the 3 days I had to leave my car with them. When I picked my car up -- it looked brand new! I would highly recommend this Honda dealership and their service department. More
Bill and Kurt where great to work with. My experience as before when I bought my Honda Odyssey was outstanding. My son spilled coffee on his new car and Bill was right there to clean it up. Valley Honda is a good place, we have bought many cars from there and we take our cars for service there. when you don't have anyone to take you home they have a shuttle service to drive you home and when from there and we take our cars for service there. when you don't have anyone to take you home they have a shuttle service to drive you home and when your car is finished they come and pick. we never have any problems with Valley Honda. I contacted Pat Malik with a desire for pricing on a new (2011) Odyssey Touring Elite a year ago today. I had put the purchase "out to bid" with 5 dealers across Chicago. Not only was Pat the most persona (2011) Odyssey Touring Elite a year ago today. I had put the purchase "out to bid" with 5 dealers across Chicago. Not only was Pat the most personable (and he remains so long after my purchase), his price was far superior to the others. Pat has continually followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied, and if/when I have a question, I call him and he immediately researches the issue and provides me with guidance. i wo9uld recommend Pat to anybody looking for a new Honda. The guy is the best car salesman I've ever worked with, by far. He earned my trust, which not many car salesmen can do to people. On a second note, I brought my van in for a software upgrade relative to the battery warning a couple weeks ago. The service facility is the most incredible service facility I have ever been in. Wi-fi, Macs, coffee, flat screens, adequate seating. I got more work done in that waiting area than I get done in a full day in my office. Everybody is nice! I don't know how they provide all that service and pricing and remain profitable...but I commend Valley Honda for a job so well done. More
