Today (June 14 2023) my Dealer did what they could to solve a problem with my MY23 XC40 Recharge Ultimate- Unfortunately the problem persists. As soon as I took it off the lot and drove it at highway solve a problem with my MY23 XC40 Recharge Ultimate- Unfortunately the problem persists. As soon as I took it off the lot and drove it at highway speeds I felt a vibration in the steering wheel. It went back to the shop twice and although it was road force balanced and the tire was replaced it continued to have the problem. I’ve waited months for a resolution. For some time, my dealer has been trying to find a replacement via a Volvo Assisted Trade. They found one, we made the trade but the replacement has the same problem. I am incredibly disappointed in Volvo engineering and quality control. The drive system has been redesigned for MY24 and I am certain this has a lot to do with this issue. The problem has been “under study” since December 2022 and there is obviously still no resolution for those of us who have MY23 XC40 Recharge Ultimates. More
While waiting for my car to be serviced, I walked up on Jacob and introduced myself. I had general car questions but my specific interest was in the XC60 Fully-Electric SUV. Jacob was very understanding and patient with me as I fielded him with numerous questions and voiced my concerns. Little did I know I’d have to make a decision as to continuing with service to my 2011 XC60 or purchase another vehicle. Jacob exhibited much compassion and sensitivity as he talked with me. I thought I’d “lose it” but Jacob managed to calm my nerves reassuring me that, “it’ll be alright”. “You’ll be alright”! Nerves somewhat calmed, I accepted the invitation of a test drive. Too nervous to drive myself, I rode as a passenger on “my test drive”. After countless text messages, emails and phone conversations, I’m very pleased and satisfied with my purchase of a Fusion Red XC60. I’m Thankful and Grateful to have met Jacob Burns and to have him as my “personal” sales consultant at Volvo Cars - Silver Spring. More
