Good Morning Helen, I apologize for your most recent visit. I believe we came to some resolution over the phone which I hope can be seen as an extension of the olive branch. Regarding the technician's diagnosis vs Boston VWs repairs, he found the ACC calibration to be off and the damage to the radar sensor upfront. Recalibrations start with an alignment and then the actual calibration, a time consuming repair along with an expensive sensor to be replaced in this case. With this being said, that is what we recommend in order to prevent any issues down the road with your assist features. If the car is out of calibration even by a fraction (which may not be shown in faults), it may not perform as designed when needed most (front assist braking, blind spot monitoring, etc). We indefinitely hope to see you again and we apologize for any feeling of dishonesty.
