By the time I arrived, the ID.4 Standard that qualified for a promotion had already been sold. However, Jens went above and beyond, searching across New England and the Tri-State area to find one for me in silver. When tax credits changed, Jens promptly informed me, clearly explaining why and how those changes impacted my purchase and worked to mitigate that. He kept me updated on the car’s delivery status and worked closely with my insurance company, ensuring I could take the car home shortly after it arrived. Jens and the team handled the registration process and got the car fully prepared for me to drive off with no hassle. Eliot, the finance manager, was equally great. The process was quick and efficient, and he didn’t try to upsell me on unnecessary add-ons like stolen vehicle tracking (which the car already comes with). He was honest about what prepaid maintenance was included with the car and only recommended meaningful add-ons that added real value. It was refreshing to deal with someone so straightforward. When it came time for delivery, Jens did an exceptional job walking me through the car’s features and functions. He explained charging tips, the mobile app, and the car’s telecommunications and GPS capabilities in detail. He also followed up a few days later to make sure I was happy with the car and answered any questions I had. Additionally, Jens helped set up my details with the service department, making the transition seamless. It’s worth mentioning that this was my first Volkswagen, and I had no prior relationship with this dealer or their franchise owner. I wasn’t purchasing a high-end model like a GTI or a fully loaded Atlas—just a base model ID.4. Despite this, they treated me with absolute respect and went out of their way to make the experience exceptional. Mike (the bosss) even personally introduced himself and shook my hand, which added a nice personal touch. The team went so far as to arrange a dealer swap for me and even looked out of state to meet my needs, which was base model vehicle (low margin). Most dealers, even those representing premium brands, wouldn’t go to these lengths unless you were buying a high-margin car like an SQ7 or S63, or if you had an established relationship. The lady who checked me in was great and friendly. I mentioned that the key also needed a battery replacing and was told this would be arranged. Drove to Maine the next day and low and behold, battery had not been replaced and I am left with a flat key and can only use the VW app to lock the car easily - which keeps logging me out. As temperatures were negative F, the thumb on the handle would not work to lock the car. Not ideal. This is not the first time that the Wellsley office has misinformed us and will not be purchasing another vehicle from this branch. More
