Conklin will not help my stranded 700 miles from home. - CarFan
Conklin Chevrolet Salina has a great service department, a bit expensive but they get problems fixed. They have been the sole maintainer of my wonderful 2015 new style Impala. The Impala transmission failed, under warranty, 700 miles away, now over a month later I still do not have the car back. Conklin outright refuses to assist - what good is a dealer if they won't back you up when you need help? I want Chevrolet to thrive, they are important part of our culture and we need them. But GM appears to be an antique, feudal organization that cannot cooperate with itself. Almost every GM employee I contact repeats the same phrase "I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do, my hands are tied", and cannot refer me to anyone who can assist. A company paralyzed by processes,

I came in to Eddy's months ago after being contacted by Caleb B. I went in after being hounded to, knowing that I had roughly 5000-6000 in negative equity on a spark and no down payment. I expected to walk in, explain my situation, and basically get some info to come back with later. Once I got to Eddy's I was greeted by Caleb at the door and sat down with my interests already in mind. The first visit went ok but ultimately I couldn't rationalize the sharp increase in what my car note would've been. Caleb called me again very recently and after finally giving in to a higher car note (because I loved the car and the Allstate Insurance rep helped me immensely by balancing my insurance) I was sold a 2019 Chevy Cruze Hatchback, Red Hot color. I drove the car and believed it was mine for a week and a half, all the while noticing my trade in wasn't "going through". After I, myself, had to call about it, Caleb informed me the deal fell through and I had to return the car. I was embarrased publicly and my credit suffered, all to not even keep the vehicle.

I can't believe that I had to have an argument about whether or not my car had been washed even though you could clearly see that someone had wiped part of the car with a dry cloth and dust and dirt was still obviously there. I left with the car in that condition because I couldn't believe I even needed to mention it more than once! All the guy had to do was LOOK at the car and see that it clearly wasn't washed. However, I was much more concerned that my tires were not set to the proper psi. I drive a Cadillac ATS4. The front tires recommend 32 and the rear 35. I checked it on my app before arriving and brought it to the gentleman's attention. He checked the driver's door insert then set all four times to 32! If you can't even set the tires to the correct pressure then how do I know you've even bothered to do any of the other things you say you've done? My child drives my car! I am so angry right now. This was my 2nd car purchase from your dealership and I've had all my maintenance done there too. The level of service has really dropped off over the past 2 years. I also wonder how many cars you send out the door with incorrect tire pressure? Correct pressure helps extend the life of tires, helps maximize fuel efficiency and can be the cause of traffic accidents. I trusted you with my family and you let me down.
