I've been on the search for a Genesis Coupe Ultimate for months with no luck. But, it just so happened that it changed when we called Dick Smith Hyundai and reached good ol' Andy. He was friendly, truthful, and best of all, had what I wanted! Went the next couple of days and he kept it safe for me because he knew how much I have struggled to find one! When I got there, he was honest with me about the car and how much of a steal it was! He was all around a friendly guy who didn't intimate or pressure you. DO WALK BUT RUN...away from Myrtle Beach Hyundai's service department. As stated from the numerous reports below their service advisors need training in basic customer service skills; my suggestion is to have them all replaced. Specifically, Eddie Garrett and Jeff Davis as each lack the following skills: empathy, caring, listening, note taking, and time management. This is the only Hyundai dealership in Myrtle Beach and there serivce advisors realize it; they can treat their customers with disrespectful. Unfortunately, if you seek resolution to any issue at the dealership, save yourself a phone call to American Hyundia they/GM of Dealership did not return my emails/phone calls after Mr. Davis, lyed and then cursed at me, deliberately hanging up on me several times. Mr. Davis went as far as telling the receptionist not to accept my calls, when I was the level headed one attempting to seek a compromise and/or a solution. Mr. Garrett is another service advisor and he is no better: rude, condescending, and disrespectful.
I can confirm the below claims of poor customer service in the Myrtle Beach Hyundai service department. Finally, as it appears that no one from their public relations department reads these posts; Save yourself the headache/time and visit Myrtle Beach Kia (also owned by Hyundai Motor Company and not owned by the same franchisee) to have your Hyundai repaired, e.g. oil change, tires/brakes, battery, wipers, small/large service repairs. Their service department is best in class and is also located off of Hwy 501.

Met with a high school classmate and friend, Daron Fleming after he was aware of my accident which totaled my car. He introduced me to Tracy Jones to assist because I leaning towards a PreOwned...but after doing some more research, I decided to buy a new vehicle. Brent assisted me after I applied online credit app. And got back in touch with Tracy, he told me about the new SUV that recently came out Hyundai Kona. I googled it and was pleased and in my price range. Tracy informed me he was heading out of town the same time I was committed to buying my car and was sent to Lisa on the New car side to assist and finishedup the transaction. Lisa offered to come by my house just so I could look at the car and being that I had my 3 year old already in bed that evening, it was perfect. Gave me a chance to look at the car and test drive it a little and still was able to think about it overnight. Met Steve and Harris towards the end of my transaction. There was a miscommunication in the price, but we gotten it all straightened out. People make mistakes, but definitely give chances for them to correct them :) Ended up still leaving a happy customer. And now I'm a new 2018 Hyunday Kona owner. 1st in the Tricounty! I love it and in my price range.

I bought a new 2015 Sonata from the Hyundai dealership on Rivers Ave. The service dept is horrible!! The service manager John is worthless! I have called numerous times but all I get is the run around. I cant no one to fix my car!! The fin is falling off the car, the sun shade is bubbling in back window..but they wont fix it and its under new car warranty! I call the lemon law ehere they try to help you with complaints. I am waiting to hear back from that..if not then I will have to hire a lawyer. The Rick Hendrick sold out the North Charleston service center and know one knows whos suppose to fix your car. Im calling live 5 news also. I have had enough! 3 months of run around! I am tired of this!!!
