Shockingly great! - Ptotherice
Terrell was absolutely great! Unfortunately I had a small hiccup when I arrived, but him and his team did such a great job making it right! The owner (unfortunately the name has escaped me) was involved also and was such a great and down to Earth person. Definitely spreading the glory of God in the best way they can!
Walked In...No Hassle...No Wasted Time...Bought Car...Simple - Predsfan40
Went to Nelson Mazda because I found a couple of nice options I found on their website and I had just left another dealership in which I had a not-so-great experience. I was completely upfront with Joe Talley regarding my limited budget. Going in, I knew I was not the "model customer" in the sense I was not looking to buy a new car or had an unlimited budget. I was actually on a very tight budget. Joe didn't try to show me something he knew would be out of my range in hopes I'd cave in and pay more. The car was clean, nice, and better than I thought for the price range I had to adhere to. The purchasing experience was fast and no nonsense, but thorough. Ben Mulaosmanovic was also very helpful, fast, and efficient. There is always an amazing amount of paperwork when buying a car, but despite all that, I was able to get in, find a car, purchase, paperwork, and drive out in about 2 hours.
New car purchase - Kperry
I recently bought a car at Gateway and my experience was awesome. Caleb Evans was a very helpful salesman and did a great job at getting me in the car I wanted. I highly recommend him and Gateway.
They Never Disappoint - TennisJunkie
I have always taken my 2015 CX-5 to Gwatney for service and they never disappoint. Aaron and John are the best in the business. They are helpful, courteous and make me feel like a valued customer. I highly recommend taking your vehicle into Gwatney for service.
Aaron is always willing to help me get any discounts that are available and keeps me updated on the progress.
Mazda Cx9 - Greyhound

Sunday test drive with Joe Shoemaker gone bad! - Rob and Kell
Today my wife and I wanted to test drive a CX-9 and was taken for the ride of our lives. Let me say this first - Joe didn't know my wife has serious back issues that she has been fighting for many years but my wife didn't know she was going to be taken down a road that has a speed limit of 35mph and do 55mph just to show how stable the SUV was when jamming on the breaks. She got out of the car right then complaining that her back hurt and we walked back to the dealership to get in our truck to drive straight home to deal with her back. Yes that's right we went on a test drive and had to ride with Joe and had to walk back to the dealership. Joe did say he was sorry for scarring my wife but the damage was done at that point in time. Right before we left to go home I walked back into the dealership to talk with Joe and I think the manager of the day and he stated that it was our fault that my wife's back was hurting and not to curse. I stated that if you were going to train your sales team to do that on a test drive that you needed to have your customer's sign a waiver of consent because there is no reason to show us how the car handles under extreme breaking since we could have simply read what the specs on the 55mph to stopping distance. Crap my wife is looking to purchase a car to go to Kroger's not to race. They did say they were sorry to me after I gave them down the road on the fact that they have no clue who is riding in the car and a good example of this is what if it was someone that just finished having a horrific wreck and it trigger them into remembering the day of the wreck. They have not a clue and the sales manager of the day even stated that they train their salesmen to do that test when taking customer's out for a test drive. What if we would have had a kid that was less than 5 in the car or my grandmother? They had no answer for that question. This is a crappy dealership run by a crappy team and I have never taken the time before to write a review but this is a story for the book of life. I will be contacting a lawyer tomorrow to talk about what our rights are and now the rest of my day I get to try to take care of my wife's back thanks Twin City Mazda!!!! Wow now that I written this it just hit me they never asked who we were to try to fallow up on my wife and they never asked us for our ID either. They have no clue and you are much better off making the trip to Mazda of Knoxville rather then this dealership. Watch out if you go on a test drive for a CX9 because they will give you the panic break test and I just hate to see people hurt for no reason!
Oil service 30000 mi - Zoom2012
Friendly staff. Offered a 20$ off coupon for next service when I upgraded to full synthetic Paid $65 this time but next time should be 45. Not too bad.
Most unorganized car lot - One pissed off customer
I specifically told them I was leaving for Michigan and my brakes were sticking. I dropped it off to get serviced and they told me it will be done today and they would call me as soon as they found out anything. I dropped my car off at 3pm and I had to call them to find out they didn't even order the parts yet so here I am telling my family I would see them in the morning and yet I'm still waiting on my car!!
Mazda Miata battery - TGS1955
I have a 97 miata that I purchased used, No one has touched this car in 11 years except Bill Gatton Mazda. I purchased a battery which is still under warranty. The battery is totally dead. They will not test/charge the battery without the vehicle and I cannot get the vehicle there without a battery. Their solution was to have the vehicle towed in at my expense.
Don't waste your time - Brox
If you don't want to over pay go somewhere else. The staff is super friendly and accommodating until it's time to negotiate a price. I've bought 4 new cars now including a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 and I've never had a dealer tell me MSRP is the best they do. That's an insult to the buyers intelligence. I figured they would call back later to negotiate again but when Donnie did call me back he stuck to MSRP. I'll never visit this dealer again.
After you buy the car it all goes downhill fast - Scrawley
I bought a car from the Chattanooga branch over a year ago and the staff was nice up until I bought the car. After me and my wife bought it Ryan Hauger the salesman said he could try and get us a deal on an admin key for the car(ford fusion 2012) and he never followed up on it, no call or anything. That was all a year or so ago. Now, the service department fixed my a.c. several months ago and it kept my car for around a week. This all seemed usual until my a.c. broke again with the same problem about 2 weeks after I got it back. I couldn't bring the car right away because I couldn't miss another week of work. Now that we brought it back to the service department, my wife was told that the same part went out because the air filter wasn't clean. Why couldn't they see that when they had the car? We barely drove it after we got it back and then it went out again. Now the want to charge me more. Plus the service department has failed to return my calls, they only can call my wife apparently. A few days ago before I even brought the car back I called and left my number and was told I would be called back and I never did, this has happened multiple times since I've been dealing with that company. That's all my complaints. Everyone I've seen over the past year looking for a car, I've told to run the other way.
They will happily sell you a car at a "great... - bwelborn2010
They will happily sell you a car at a "great deal," but THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR USED CARS!! We bought a used Hyundai from them that we test drove twice, never catching anything wrong with it, so we bought it. LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER, whenever we turn the blinker on, the head/dash lights flashed obnoxiously! I took it straight to Alan Vines Hyundai (because I totally distrusted Gwatney at this point). Alan Vines found the electrical problem, and, in addition, found the ENTIRE bottom half of the engine compartment was SATURATED in oil!! This was going to cost us ~$1000 to fix both problems! I went to Gwatney to see if they would be willing to pay for it. He gave me $200 for the electrical problem but refused to pay for the oil leak that had CLEARLY been going on for months!! Gwatney stated their service techs never saw it, so it "wasn't there" and quickly slammed Alan Vines for trying to rip me off. I went back to Alan Vines and they let me take pictures, proving how bad the oil leak was. After showing pictures to Gwatney, he agreed it had to have been leaking for a while, but still said the same thing "our service techs didn't see it, so it 'wasn't there.'" My recommendation is to NOT do business with Gwatney EVER, but if you do, and least have your used car inspected by a neutral 3rd party BEFORE YOU BUY! And check out Alan Vines: those guys are awesome and HONEST!
