GREAT Company & Great Customer Service - Mpedroa2
I found my Mini Cooper online. I called in & was directed to check in with Patrick/Cody. I arrived and was greeted with open arms. Tommy started the process & allowed me to take a test drive. He took me on a very scenic route which made the test drive experience 10x better. Throughout the car buying process, numerous staff came up to check on me & make sure I was comfortable. This Mazda branch should be very proud of the culture they have created. Each person especially Tommy went above & beyond to make sure this car buying experience was as smooth as possible. I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to pay this car off and buy another vehicle from this Mazda branch!!!!

Amazing Service From ALL - Aweisenhutter
I needed a car quick! Got pre approved online in seconds. Called Nelson Mazda in Antioch, TN and they sent Joseph L to come pick me up in the car I wanted so I could test drive on the way to purchasing. Ben M and Joseph L were both very personable and explained all steps, costs, etc THOROUGHLY. Got a free emission slip for testing through them and Joseph eve picked up results the next day to take care of tags and registration. Overall, extremely satisfied with not only the sense of urgency (as my phone was ringing back to back with work calls) but the thoroughness. A++
New car purchase - Kperry
I recently bought a car at Gateway and my experience was awesome. Caleb Evans was a very helpful salesman and did a great job at getting me in the car I wanted. I highly recommend him and Gateway.
Excellent Service - GoTigersGo2018
As always, I received excellent scheduled service from John Stroud and his team on my 2012 CX-9. I have my 1994 GMC Sonoma serviced at Gwatney as well.
Awesome Dealership - Brenda Killian
I have owned a Mazda for 12 years. My husband said its time for a new car. We came to Gray Epperson and found this wonderful man name Rick McCarthy, who help us find the car that we purchased in May of 2017 the CX-3. Loved the car, now its a year later, and we decide the car just was not big enough for our family, not Rick fault, mine. So I returned to the dealership, and of course I am asking for the wonderful man that helped me last year. Now I own the CX-5 everything went great. Such a wonderful dealer everyone there is very helpful.
Thanks for all they do.

Great service and staff - ZB
Had a great experience buying our first new car with a stellar staff. After an unexpected breakdown and loss of our 2nd car during a busy time in our lives, Matt Lawson quickly found us exactly what we wanted and needed at the right price and went above and beyond to make sure the process was as painless as possible
Most terrible experience I have ever had - Marblecityfrog
I bought a used 2012 MX-5. I went in and ask to speak to a manager. I was lied to as the sale person told me he was. I did not want to go through 20 people. I went round and round and should have walked out but I had searched for the car for a while. They wanted me to give them my car and pay top dollar for their car. That is unreal. They moved me between 4 or 5 different people that changed the rules as it went. When it was all over and done they had taken me for about 3000 dollars. It was explained that it was the service charge for the loan. As usual they would not let me take time with the contract. They added a lot of things. I went to use one of the add-on's and it was not available. I went balistic and tried to get hold of someone. I found out that all the Twin CIties are owned by a few people that are absolute crooks. Mazda is not like other car companies. They would do nothing about it. I have had problems before with a Ford I bought and Ford made it right. This is my second Miata/MX-5 - I really like the car although they are not build real great. Maintenance a lot and no one seems to be able to do it correctly. Clutches go faster than expected. I have mostly had a straight shift and could usually go 100,000+ on a clutch. Miatas tend to go out between 50 and 80 thousand. The interior and top are not really great and need to be replaces at about 4 years. I have decided that my next car will not be a Mazda as this company still exists. I would not buy a car in Knoxville either. All I have found for sales reps are crooks. I found a more professional attitude in larger cities - Atlanta, Birmingham, and believe it or not West Palm Beach. I may not ever get to buy another car as I am aging but I will definitely not buy anything from a company that has Twin Cities in it's name. Bu the way - Jeff Stetson is the sales rep that lied to me. He is absolutely a career criminal that has not got caught. The Manager is no longer there but I would be careful as he is still there telling me they have not changed. Service department is ok.
Most unorganized car lot - One pissed off customer
I specifically told them I was leaving for Michigan and my brakes were sticking. I dropped it off to get serviced and they told me it will be done today and they would call me as soon as they found out anything. I dropped my car off at 3pm and I had to call them to find out they didn't even order the parts yet so here I am telling my family I would see them in the morning and yet I'm still waiting on my car!!
Car should have been in salvage yard, not for sale by dealer - 0OSCARBEAN
My adult daughter purchased a 2007 Nissan Versa that was total junk. I asked her to never go car shopping without me, but she thought she was getting a deal and decided to purchase this car on her own.
The CAT converter was shot as were both O2 sensors. The engine had extreme blow-by and a miss on the number three cylinder because a valve was cracked. The sensors were disconnected and all codes were cleared so the MIL light was not on when she looked at the car.
The salesman gave her a high-pressure sales pitch, cars as nice as this do not last long, this is the bottom bargain pricing below blue-book, buy it now or someone else will.
Hamilton County TN requires emissions testing and dealers are not allowed to sell cars that cannot pass inspection. We live in a county that does not require emissions inspections and that is how they got around this regulation.
I purchased a low milage used engine for about the cost for me to do a rebuild. The salvage yard threw in the CAT and sensors as a favor to me. She now has a dependable vehicle thanks to me, not Edd Kirby's Adventure.
Bum a ride, take the bus, ride a bicycle, walk, hitch-hike, but never, never, never purchase a vehicle from Edd Kirby's Adventure unless you really want an adventure like getting skalped, xxxxx, or robbed.
Mazda Miata battery - TGS1955
I have a 97 miata that I purchased used, No one has touched this car in 11 years except Bill Gatton Mazda. I purchased a battery which is still under warranty. The battery is totally dead. They will not test/charge the battery without the vehicle and I cannot get the vehicle there without a battery. Their solution was to have the vehicle towed in at my expense.
They will happily sell you a car at a "great... - bwelborn2010
They will happily sell you a car at a "great deal," but THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR USED CARS!! We bought a used Hyundai from them that we test drove twice, never catching anything wrong with it, so we bought it. LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER, whenever we turn the blinker on, the head/dash lights flashed obnoxiously! I took it straight to Alan Vines Hyundai (because I totally distrusted Gwatney at this point). Alan Vines found the electrical problem, and, in addition, found the ENTIRE bottom half of the engine compartment was SATURATED in oil!! This was going to cost us ~$1000 to fix both problems! I went to Gwatney to see if they would be willing to pay for it. He gave me $200 for the electrical problem but refused to pay for the oil leak that had CLEARLY been going on for months!! Gwatney stated their service techs never saw it, so it "wasn't there" and quickly slammed Alan Vines for trying to rip me off. I went back to Alan Vines and they let me take pictures, proving how bad the oil leak was. After showing pictures to Gwatney, he agreed it had to have been leaking for a while, but still said the same thing "our service techs didn't see it, so it 'wasn't there.'" My recommendation is to NOT do business with Gwatney EVER, but if you do, and least have your used car inspected by a neutral 3rd party BEFORE YOU BUY! And check out Alan Vines: those guys are awesome and HONEST!
