Pleasant experience all around with the sales and finance team I worked with and felt great driving off with a new vehicle. Initially worked with Joe who assisted me during my first visit at the showroom. I wanted to test drive and finish the deal during the week and worked with Elena Da Costa who was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Rocky was responsive with final pricing. Donovan explained all the financing and made sure I was comfortable during the final process. Overall a pleasant experience. I just leased a Volvo, I think it was at least my 4th from this dealer. Steve Zinaman has been so helpful, going above and beyond. One of the things he did that impressed me was asking if I was a Costco member because it saved me a chunk of money. When I found out that upgrading to Executive membership would save me more, he called them to get a new code to save me even more money. After I got my car and he was done with his work, he continued to be available, helping me with coordinating my garage opener remote control with the remote on the car. The other person who was extremely helpful was his tech assistant, Melvin, who was very patient with me, teaching me some of the features and helping with the tech support, connecting my phone to the car audio, also being available afterwards to help with more things that confuse me. I am grateful for the superior service!

I recently purchased a used Mazda from Mazda of Lodi and have been very disappointed with the dealership's handling of a problem that arose immediately after the sale. The vehicle was delivered with two key fobs. One worked properly, while the other did not. Within the first week of ownership, I returned to the dealership twice seeking assistance. During my first visit, I was advised to replace the battery and monitor the issue. I followed that advice and replaced the battery, but the problem remained. When I returned, the dealership diagnosed the key fob as defective. Despite acknowledging that the key fob was defective and despite the fact that the issue was reported almost immediately after purchase, the dealership refused to replace it. What made the experience even more frustrating was the way I was treated during the process. I felt that management insinuated that I had somehow caused the problem or was not being truthful about the issue, even though I had followed their instructions, returned promptly, and the dealership's own diagnosis confirmed the key fob was defective. The issue itself is relatively minor. What concerns me is the lack of accountability and customer service after the sale. I expected a Mazda dealership to stand behind a vehicle and its included equipment, especially when a defect is identified within days of purchase. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mazda of Lodi. Based on this I would avoid buying a Mazda.
