I had a very disappointing experience with Audi Van Nuys.
My vehicle had to be towed to the dealership due to a mechanical issue. During inspection, they found a plastic washer lodged in the throttle body. When I asked how something like this could happen, the Service Manager told me they could not determine the cause and described it as a “mystery.”
From a technical standpoint, this is extremely concerning. An object like this should not be able to pass through the air intake system under normal conditions. Despite having no explanation, I was still charged $315 for the repair.
I also raised concerns about low coolant levels and a drop in oil level, which could indicate a potential issue, but these concerns were not properly investigated. The coolant was simply topped off without further diagnosis.
To make matters worse, I made multiple attempts to contact both the Service Manager and General Manager and left several messages, but never received a response.
At this point, the issue is not just the cost — it’s the lack of accountability, poor diagnosis, and serious concerns about the quality of service and safety.
Very disappointing experience from an authorized Audi dealership.
