I am very dissatisfied with the process of finally getting my car. On 03/28, Aisha from Toyota of Rockwall, initially followed up with me on a build of the 2026 RAV4 that I wanted. When I called Toyota of Rockwall, I told a different lady theyI spoke with that was very skeptical because I’ve read online that some people haven’t received their car months of putting down a deposit. I told her that if that’s the case, I would look at other vehicles, like Honda. She assured me it should take about a month. I put down my deposit. On 04/28, I was notified that the car was at Rockwall Toyota. When I got there, I was informed there was some damage to the windshield and they are investigating what happened to the vehicle. I was given the option of taking the vehicle after repairs were done or what for another vehicle. I was later told the damaged was caused by hail. My question is why would a vehicle that is set for transit be left out with no protection to the elements. Someone, not Zainey, told me I should have the vehicle by 5/19. When that date came and weren’t, I contacted Zainey who said it will be allocated to them on 5/23. I did take the loaner car that Zainey offered, but I want my own car. I reached out to him on that date, he said it’s been allocated, and he will let me know when it’s in transit. So now I’m waiting on a vehicle. It’s approaching the middle of 2026, soon the 2027 will be available. I’m thinking now that if I knew it would take this long, I would have waited until the end of the year before purchasing this vehicle or the 2027. Very soon, my first payment will be early June, and’s I still don’t have my vehicle. That’s crazy! I have never experienced anything that I’m experiencing now. Last year my wife bought the 2025 RAV4 without any issue. Because I probably could have bought this cheaper a few months from now, or wait on the 2027 model if I had know this would happen, I feel like I’m not getting the value that I initially envisioned getting. I will definitely have to think twice about where I will make my next vehicle purchase that will be in about four years More
