I purchased a vehicle from Clarendon Hills Infiniti in 2022, sold to me as a **Certified Pre-Owned (CPO)** car. The dealership failed to perform a correct CPO inspection, forcing immediate, major repairs:
* **Initial Failures (13 days post-purchase):** The vehicle immediately required an oil change, a **$600 brake replacement**, and new **struts and bearings** on both the right and left sides within the first few months. This proved the car was sold unprepared and the CPO inspection was inadequate.
* **Service Negligence and Warranty Evasion:** I had the dealership perform my oil changes for three years. On **January 17, 2025**—the exact day the CPO warranty expired—I paid **$2,300** for a **167-point CPO inspection**. They gave the car a clean bill of health with no mention of any issues.
* **Delayed Disclosure:** Just this October, my check engine light came on. **Clarendon Hills Infiniti** then informed me I had a significant **oil leak**. This means they performed a paid, major inspection right before the warranty expired and failed to communicate or address a potential leak, only to tell me about it months later when the expense falls entirely on me.
Clarendon Hills Infiniti sold me a faulty CPO car and then withheld critical information until the warranty expired. **Do not rely on their CPO inspections or service.

Your INFINITI was originally sold new by our dealership and received all factory-recommended services during the original owner’s term. When you purchased the vehicle nearly four years ago with approximately 59,000 miles, it met all INFINITI Certified Pre-Owned standards and passed inspection at that time. During your ownership, you drove approximately 60,000 miles, and the maintenance costs you incurred over four years were well within the normal range for any luxury vehicle and more in-tune with a Honda or Toyota.
With regard to your INFINITI CPO warranty, the manufacturer provides this coverage at no cost to you, and it remains active as long as required maintenance is performed at the intervals outlined in the owner’s manual. When your engine concern was recently evaluated, INFINITI determined that sludge was present. Unfortunately, engine sludge can only form when the required maintenance intervals—time or mileage—are exceeded. Because of this finding, the manufacturer elected to cancel the powertrain portion of the policy. This decision is made solely by INFINITI, not the dealership, and we do not have the authority to override a manufacturer’s determination once evidence of improper maintenance is documented.
We are genuinely sorry for the frustration this has caused. Our goal is always to be transparent, helpful, and supportive throughout ownership. While we cannot reverse the manufacturer’s policy decision, we are more than willing to review your repair options.

when looking over the car fax before i got the car your miles and oil changes where off over driving way pass miles 5/28/2019 miles 7,224 1st oil change by infiniti Clarendon 8/23/2019 13,924 2nd next one was 1/13/2020 22,254 3th next 6/17/2020 32,054 4th next 10/5/2020 40,137 5th 03/15/2021 46,410 6 next one on 10/4/2021 52,177 was the miles the leases vehicle was returned to deal next oil changes was 10/6/2021 which this the date the deal made it a certified pre owen 53.854 when got the car in February 25/2022 59,607 so i had to bring the car in on 03/10/2022 60,194 (6,340 miles )driven before i did the over due oil change struts and bearings on right side on the 3/17/22 60,605 for a 602.89$ full break job the car has been way over driven and was not safe for me and my family to be a certified pre owen vehicle failed me and my family how did the miles go up in two day 1,677 on October 4 at 52,177 to October 6 53,854 i have all copies of any work and by 7/21/22 66,578 went back for the left side bearings and struts so this has let you know that certified pre owen inspection check list is nonexistent in my pre certified vehicle from infiniti of Clarendon hill so you sold me a car with unresolved defects improper maintenance overlooking engine failure i didn't have chance in this unsafe pre certified vehicle and now to say I have oil leak i bet I do you see it coming a long time ago and didn't tell me and I could have us my cpo warranty to fix everything you say is wrong with my car and just so happen my car was there for service the same day the cop expired and in 5/30/24 i had 187 point of safety i was told my car is fine after I paid for 23445.77$ for a safety inspection on wires oil fluid now I have a oil leak flushing and the whole thing

Also, the QX80 Actually fits in her garage and the navigator doesn’t. The main thing That I like about the QX80 is that it will fit in the garage and I don’t have to worry about my mother who is 71 falling on ice trying to get to her SUV. Andreas was amazing with her explaining all the features and being able to pick up all her friends, then head downtown on their monthly adventures.

They helped me make a great descion to buy the car and recommended I purchase the extended warranty. The extended warranty was well worth the investment when I needed new brakes and other service items. The service departmnet is exclelent with advising on maintenace needed. Upon their recommendations of maintenance, I was able to get a better value on my trade in due to the excellent service history and condition of the car.
It was time to trade in my 2019 QX60. I made an appointment with Bill Mullarkey. He was extremly helpful and patient with all my questions. On our test drive he was very informative on explaining the differences between my 2019 QX60 and the 2024 QX60. Joe and BIll took the time to show me different options of their inventory and pricing that fit my needs. I was very appreciate of the advice they gave on the current mileage and the extended warranty that I had purchased from Infiniti of Clarendon HIlls. Jacob in finance explained all the details and made sure I was comforatble and understood the terms.
In addition, I am extremly impressed with my 2024 Q60 and how smooth it handles on the highway!
