While out of state, this dealership turned off cruise
control to update MAP sensor after a check engine light notification and never turned it back on. This was not noticed until back home. Called dealer

My name is Joe Beatty and I had my MAP sensor on my 2012 Jetta updated by your dealership on July 1st, 2022 while visiting family in IL. On drive back to MI on 7/4 realized cruise control was not working. Called your dealership on 7/5 about issue and told to bring it back. We were now back home in MI and told to bring it to VW dealership in MI and you would “take care of it.” VW dealership here on 7/7 found cruise control was shut off. I have sent multiple emails to Bill Sumner with the receipt and have received no response. I keep getting text messages about surveys and bringing my car back for extra work, but nothing regarding my cruise control being shut off.
Staff are always super friendly and helpful.
They respect my time and work hard to get my VW Atlas ready for the road ASAP.

My car was there for 2 days with no one calling me or
letting me know that it was ready. I spent 2 hrs on hold waiting for the service manager to call me whom never called, I was told he was too busy. I

I had to take an Uber and show up in person to find out where my car was. And to my surprise, I get there and the service manager was playing on his phone, sitting back with a big ole grin on his face. And then he had the audacity to give me attitude when I confronted him. Horrible place, horrible dealership, exceptionally terrible service. I am considering selling car car so that I can disassociate myself with VW altogether.

I take it back about ordering the parts. I called the parts department to follow up on my order and according to him it never got order the parts. I talk to the service manager ( I hope he is the manager) and said he will take care of it right away. This is my first time here to get service on my vehicle and I’m disappointed. I really hope that you do the right thing to win my business back.

The second visit they kept my car for three days with no loaner car offered. Third visit I had to ask for a loaner, but at this point no one would even greet me. I also used the feedback through text that the dealership requested and never heard back e.g if you need anything during your visit don’t hesitate. Poor management at its core and makes me want to switch off a VW branded car.
