Dear Customer Service, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding my recent experience at your service center. I have been a loyal Jeep customer for over 15 years and have alway dissatisfaction and concern regarding my recent experience at your service center. I have been a loyal Jeep customer for over 15 years and have always adhered to the recommended service schedule for my vehicle. On this particular occasion, I brought my vehicle in for two reasons: it was due for an inspection and the check engine light was on, though not flashing. I was previously advised that a non-flashing engine light did not indicate immediate danger. After dropping off the vehicle, my husband called to check on the status and was informed by the service representative that the vehicle required $7,500 in repairs. This staggering news led me to request the return of my vehicle. Upon reviewing the consultation sheet, I was shocked to discover charges, including an oil change costing over $1,964. While my husband agreed to the necessary spark plug replacement, as the vehicle had reached 78,000 miles, we did not consent to several other costly services. The proposed repairs included an engine oil cooler replacement for $2,380, thermostat replacement for $890, battery replacements for $1,690, windshield wipers for $131, and new tires for $1,412. These charges seemed excessive, especially since an outside mechanic completed the work for $1,900 in total, and shared with me that at "NO" point were any spark plugs changed on this vehicle. I attempted to discuss my concerns with the service manager, hoping to resolve the issue amicably. Unfortunately, the conversation was far from productive. I was met with dismissive behavior, unable to voice my concerns, and was ultimately told to "take it into court," which I found disrespectful and unprofessional. This experience has severely damaged my relationship with Jeep. I expected a level of respect and transparency that was not afforded to me. As a result, I am left with no choice but to pursue the matter in Civil Court to seek fair resolution for the service I received. Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback.
