I have been using 5 star for maintenance and always been pleased. Now I was in a jamb, very few new cars available let alone the colors or trim you want. I find myself without a car and need one right awa pleased. Now I was in a jamb, very few new cars available let alone the colors or trim you want. I find myself without a car and need one right away. Since this is my 5th outback in a roll I am becoming very picky and in steps Stephen Kroes, a nice young man I spoke on the phone with and explained my situation. A simple task, not only did I need a new Outback, I wanted a color scheme and trim package unavailable any where in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas. Oh did I mention I wanted it today Monday June 21 since I had an early appointment on Tuesday morning. So somehow Stephen got the ball rolling and by Monday afternoon had found the car... the only Black on Ivory Outback with my trim package anywhere. There were a couple of Black on black available coming in on July 2 but that would be 11 days too late and the wrong color leather. So he sent a driver early that morning to go get my car, 4 hours round trip and then get it back and run thru service and Finance. I must say we get full of ourselves in this instant age we live in but once again Subaru had brought the excitement back again. I mean this was a ridiculous task and did I really have to have the car that day? I could take other transportation for one day. It was not just exciting for me but you could see it in everyone's face, and mind you they really did not know me from any one else. Oh they knew I had bought several cars and was a good customer but they had not run my credit or anything and I believe they would be going out of there way like this for anyone. It seemed like every department was pushing for this to happen and finally it just got to late. They did not want to put the car out with out going thru the full service checks and of course I wanted everything to be right. We laughed about the drummed up urgency and I told Stephen it was exciting but I would take other transportation to the meetings and check with him afterwards. Let's just slow down and enjoy the victory of getting the only car any where around in perfect colors and trim just like I wanted. Well I must have been the only one slowing down because I get out of my meetings and Stephen had already left messages. I go straight over and Stephen introduces me to the coolest Finance guy you ever wanted to meet. Brandon has everything laid out so I can see different options and pricing without going back and forth a lot. I purchased the extra things I liked while Stephen got my Sirius Security features turned on and at 3:00 on Tuesday June 22 I had the car I requested just the day before. So if you want to be excited about buying a new car again, just head over to 5 Star in Grapevine and ask for the "Rick Special" Now they probably will not know what that is but I bet they find a way to make you happy.
