This month I worked with Envision Ford to replace a Mustang Mach-E whose lease had expired. I wound up with a car that is insufficient to my wants and needs, after my salesperson misinformed me about o Mustang Mach-E whose lease had expired. I wound up with a car that is insufficient to my wants and needs, after my salesperson misinformed me about one feature that is missing from the vehicle, and failed to inform me adequately about other missing features. After I drove the car off the lot, oblivious to the missing features until I arrived at home and began noticing them, the dealership became uncommunicative and dismissed my concerns about the sales process. I didn’t even receive a response from the dealership’s Sales Manager, Christopher Belle, to a detailed email describing my issues with the car and the process. As part of its apparent de-emphasis of its electric vehicle fleet, Ford has changed the way it equips and markets the Mustang Mach-E, making the process of obtaining one far less transparent. Features that came standard in previous models, such as the 2023 Mach-E I drove previously, have been moved into option packages that are not easily available - and those packages are not sufficiently detailed on individual car stickers, on the Ford website, or elsewhere. This has led to confusion not only among customers, but clearly among Ford salespeople themselves — and in my case it led to my salesperson failing to disclose, and in one case actually misinforming me about, which features were not included in the vehicle I leased and drove off Envision’s lot. Specifically, in my case I was deciding whether to take a Premium-trim vehicle in the color I wanted (Race Red) that did not include the “Technology Package.” The sticker for another car I had considered, which did include the Technology Package, had listed only three features as part of the package: a 360-degree camera, a one-year subscription to Ford’s Bluecruise plan, and a power liftback. As I talked through the cars I was considering with my salesperson, I made it clear that my concerns over what features were missing from the Red car, because it didn’t have the Technology Package, were a big factor in my decisionmaking. She and I also shared our mutual frustration at the changes Ford has made with the 2026 models, so she knew my concerns perfectly well. Yet she failed to inform me of other features that are now part of that Technology Package, beyond the two that are listed on the stickers of other vehicles. Worse, in one instance she actually misinformed me. We were discussing the 360-degree camera that is part of the Technology Package, and she said that even though the Red car I was leasing did not have the camera, it still had the front sensors that would warn me when I was approaching objects in front of me. In fact, the car I took does not have those sensors, which no longer come standard on the Premium trim as they did in the past. I park in a tight garage space, so for many years I have used those front sensors every day. Had I known that this vehicle doesn’t have them, I absolutely would not have leased it. (Other features that I wasn’t made aware are missing on vehicles without the Technology Package — including a built-in garage door opener and a wireless phone-charging pad in the center console — are conveniences more than essentials, but nevertheless I should have had the opportunity to make a fully informed decision, rather than being deprived of that knowledge before I made a deal for the car.) As soon as I began noticing the features that I hadn’t been informed would be missing from the car, I began communicating my alarm to my salesperson. It took a few days for me to receive a response from her, relaying her manager’s disingenuous assessment that I had “had the opportunity to see the vehicle and inspect before signing.” (As though it’s possible to assess missing built-in functions with an eyeball test on the dealer’s lot!) That is the last communication I have received from Envision, even after my email detailing these same issues and asking for some form of resolution or compensation. More

Lewis has been in contact since our initial visit a month ago. No pressure, just things for us to review. We came into to test drive the Broncos. He allowed us to try different broncos, different styles. ago. No pressure, just things for us to review. We came into to test drive the Broncos. He allowed us to try different broncos, different styles. He was able to explain our questions and concerns about each vehicle. Again no pressure. He listened to Rodney and my wants and went over the features of each vehicle. WE were able to decide on the best vehicle for us !!! Selling points: good eye contact, knowledge, patience, and attentive to our needs first, wants seconds. Pleasure doing business with Lewis. Sincerely, Rodney and Mary Ortega Side note: Mr. Torres received 3 stars for the following reason: We had agreed on 58.5K OTD, on the draft sheet he provided. He’s “all in”. So we proceed forward. At the conclusion he had Lewis come tell us the price is 59.5k. I immediately approached Mr. Torres and said we agreed to 58.5 k, he informed me he would “fix it”. This could have been a deal breaker. An action of one, affects the whole team. More

The lack of transparency, poor communication and pressure style sale approach leaves me disappointed and unsatisfied. I feel for all the people that get taken advantage of there. There is an overall incompet style sale approach leaves me disappointed and unsatisfied. I feel for all the people that get taken advantage of there. There is an overall incompetence that is pervasive in that dealership. Carlos is unprofessional, there’s porters and sales people in the front taking their shirts off and taking pictures for instagram, no follow thru on anything that is said. The experience of buying a car is HORRIBLE HERE. Go anywhere but Envision Ford Oxnard!!!! I don’t know how they are in business! These incompetent morons took my vehicle to install a bed liner and then left me at work with no notice that they’re KEEPING MY TRUCK. No phone call, no transportation and no concern for the customer. They offered me “swag” from their dealer???? WHY????? How does that make up for this? INCOMPETENT IMBECILES. More
