I contacted Steve Ybarra concerning purchasing a 2011 Ford F-350, stock # F3442A listed for sale on E-Bay, on October 21, 2013. We reached an agreement to pay the listed prce of $42,000. On October 22, 2 Ford F-350, stock # F3442A listed for sale on E-Bay, on October 21, 2013. We reached an agreement to pay the listed prce of $42,000. On October 22, 2013 Steve contacted me an explained that in order to hold the vehicle until I could travel from Ohio to Texas and pick up the vehicle on November 8, 2013, I would need to pay a $500 deposit for 4 days. I would then need to pay another $500 to hold for an additional 6 days, then a third deposit of $500 until I could obtain the vehicle. I provided my credit card information and agreed that if I did not pick up the vehicle, I would lose one of the $500 deposits. Vernon Auto group sent a purchase agreement to my Credit Union in order to arrange financing. My Credit Union faxed the financing agreement to Vernon Auto Group, indicating that the financing was completed. I purchased airfare for myself and my wife to travel on Niovember 8, 2013 to pick up the vehicle. The total for the airfare was $623.80. My credit card was charged for the first two deposits totaling $1000. On November 2, 2013, I received a phone call from Steve Ybarro, informing me that a decision was made by the sales manager not honor my agreement and the vehicle was sold. I contacted Ralph Artega that same day about my concern of the sale of the vehicle and the airfare that was spent. Ralph indicated that the airfare would be refunded. To date I have not received the refund of my airfare. I have spoken numerous times with Ralph and Chris Dunson concerning the refund of the airfare, with no results. I have never received an explaination as to why the vehicle was sold, even after we had reached an agreement and the deposits to hold the vehicle had been made, until I could travel and pick up the vehicle. I have not received the refund of the airfare. I received a phone call from Chris Dunson on October 30, 2013, asking me if I had returned the paperwork sent to me. I explained that I did not receive any paperwork and that everything was in place to purchase the vehicle on November 8, 2013. I further explained to Chris airfare was purchased and I would arrive to complete the sale. I am extremely disappointed with the failure of Vernon Auto Group to honor the agreement that was in place and their decision to sell the vehicle. I am disapointed with the lack of responsiveness in the refund of my airfare. I purchased the airfare based on the agreement that was entered into and feel it should be refunded by Vernon Auto Group, since they decided to sell the vehicle prior to my arrival. I have received the refund of my $1000 deposit on my credit card. Based on the treatment and lack of honesty I have received from Vernon Auto Group, I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them. More

Those guys worked hard and did everything possible to get me into my 2013 Chevy Sonic. I would recommend them to everyone. Chris mainly work really hard to get my payments where I can afford the car. Chris was very upfront and honest about my interest rate and was very helpful in letting me know what I can do to get my interest rate down in the next 6 months or so. I am a very happy customer and will keep them in mind later down the line when it comes time to get another car. More

After frustration from a local dealership I can physically walk to from my home, I searched online to find my truck. Terry Rutherford called me after I visited the website. My Dad was a loyal Chevrolet owner his entire life and Wholesale truck dealer in Dallas. I had unusually high expectation of service both personal and professional. I admit I am a very critical observer of Customer Service. I always expect to be disappointed. Even after Terry's and my telephone and email experiences, I expected "something" to happen. When you train Customer Service nationally, you observe usually with a skeptical eye. After driving almost 6 hours to reach the dealership, I was greeted at my truck/tradein by Terry. He immediately called me by name with a huge Texas smile and handshake. Dad said you can tell a man's character by his handshake! Terry didn't shake my hand like I was a woman, he shook it like I was a friend. Terry escorted my husband and myself into the dealership and offered us water and a restroom break. He then escorted us to the shop area where my new truck sat. I was so amazed that everyone I crossed paths with smiled and spoke to us. They all met us with eye contact. Even in the shop where they have hot and hard jobs, the acknowledged us. My son is a GM mechanic, I know they work hard.Yet they looked up and smiled. Three ladies in the dealership complimented me on my Consuelo handbag! They are all very observant. I really hoped the paperwork would take a longtime so I could just hangout and watch the magic they created. However, when we were greeted by the young lady, once again a smile in celebration of our purchase! She made it easy, she shared her story freely when I asked and was really so efficient I didn't have a single question to ask her. She packaged it neatly and with a handshake again, handed us off to Terry. Terry took us for a "walk thru" of our new truck. He was fun and patient. He even showed me how my old truck had "remote start" all along! The past dealer had never shown me that. So I never used it. Terry gave us suggestions for a nearby lunch and set our Navigation for our return trip. He offered his card and personal cell for communication and set us on our way! After a lifetime in sales and some of it in my Dad's experience of selling, I have never had such a great experience of professionalism. I have purchased probably 15 cars or trucks in my lifetime so far. The experience with Vernon Auto has never been matched! I actually requested permission to use the Vernon name in my training of other teams. It wasn't the price that created the value. It was the relationship selling. The smiles and people made us feel as though we were not just a number, we were family. Thank you Guys so much. A memorable experience indeed! More

I called Ralph Arteaga and told him exactly what package and ad ons I wanted on my new car. He and Chris Dunson immediately started looking for it. They were able to secure the second car they found. It was quite a bit of work for them as they had to get a new Camaro in here to take and trade for the color I wanted. When the car arrived in Vernon, it was exactly what I wanted. Adrian Chenault showed me the features on the car and filled it up with gas. Megan Adams went over the paperwork with me and explained everything perfectly. It was truly an easy and hassle free buying experience. I would recommend them to anyone. More

Every once in a while an extraordinary vehicle buying experience comes along and mine came today. About 7 weeks ago I ordered a new 2014 GMC Sierra Z71 4X4. It arrived in Vernon while we were on vacati experience comes along and mine came today. About 7 weeks ago I ordered a new 2014 GMC Sierra Z71 4X4. It arrived in Vernon while we were on vacation last week and Terry Rutherford took good care of me, even redirecting other prospective buyers away from my new “toy” until I could make the trip from Dallas to Vernon to pick it up. Once I arrived on site this morning, I found that Terry had already started the process of getting the new truck cleaned up and detailed and ready for me to take possession of. While the folks in the shop worked to prepare the truck, Terry worked me through the trade in/purchasing process, even to the point of smiling through computer issues. My trade-in value exceeded my expectations and the purchase price of the new truck was what I thought to be an exceptional value. All said and done, I drove off in a new truck with payments that were considerably less than what I have been paying for the last 4 years. I know that not every sale will result in lower payments, but Terry and Chris both did a great job and worked hard to get me the best deal possible. My hat goes off to all involved. More
