I came in for a service on my 2018 F150 Supercrew XLT which kept giving messages that auto stop/start was disabled due to vehicle charging. It was doing this for about 2 months. I mentioned this when I m which kept giving messages that auto stop/start was disabled due to vehicle charging. It was doing this for about 2 months. I mentioned this when I made the appointment and also they may as well do an oil service at that time as well. I dropped it at service at 8:45 am on March 19 to fix the start/stop and do the oil service change. Service writer as well as the service person who made my appointment mentioned it was probably just a battery which made sense. They had the vehicle from the 9:00 am till after 3:30 pm. I picked up the vehicle and paid for the service and received receipts but none of them mentioned work on stop/start. Today the 20th of March start stop was not working with the same error message mentioning due to vehicle charging start/stop is disabled. Battery still had dirt and dust on it so was obviously not touched. As far as I can see it took 6 1/2 hours to change the oil and rotate tires and totally ignore the main issue that I brought it in for. More
