My name is Donald (Don) Butts. I am one of the sales people here at the "Nation's Leader of Guaranteed Finance," McCluskey Chevrolet...and that's just the beginning of the wonderful products and services we provide here at Team McCluskey! I grew up in Alexandria, Kentucky but now live here in Cincinnati. I like to say "I'm an ex-patriot Kentucky boy living here in the land of the Buckeye." We were told to call KEITH by someone that knows him. We did this our way however. We were able to get the car into another Chevy dealership within 4 days of calling them, So we already have the servicing completed. It's in Keith's best interest to surround himself with competent people, Not ours to keep complaining when we have other avenues. When we need a car we will buy from those that take care of us.

McCluskey Chevrolet responded

Our vehicles go through an inspection process which includes evaluating the tires. Used vehicles, prior to being offered for sale, don't automatically get a new set of tires installed, because there may still be "life" to the tires remaining. If the depth of the tread is considered a danger/safety issue, they are replaced by us. If any used vehicle buyer doesn't like the tires on the vehicle when purchased, it is their responsibility, and choice, as to whether or not they will replace them.

Without your real name, we cannot research your claim. I do know that IF we made a promise to have a repair performed, we would have done it. The employees you mention are employees that haven't worked here, many of them, for close to a decade. We are unsure why you are writing a review 2 years later/after the fact, but we don't re-visit purchases that were made as long ago as yours appears to have occurred.

That is my real name. I had to pick employee names to be able to pay the review. You 100% did promise to fix the debt that was in the car when it was delivered. I got the estimate and then I wouldn’t get and response or reply’s I still stand by my poor rating You can make it right but I don’t see it happening

Dean continues to daily go onto McCluskey's social media avenues and leave posts along these lines, and now this Dealer Rater review, even though he has purchased multiple vehicles from us over the years. For some reason, Dean wasn't happy with one of his purchases with us even though his product specialist has indicated to him that he could come in and meet with a manager to discuss his accusations of "being ripped off." Additionally, every consumer has the right to say "no" to moving forward with a purchase BEFORE they sign legal documents taking ownership of any vehicle. We are truly sorry that Mr. Hall feels this way, but McCluskey realizes that we cannot please every customer that does business with us - even though we try extremely hard in that regard.

We are sorry to hear the way that this customer felt when visiting us. The lender controls the approval, and what the terms/conditions/stipulations might be for any customer. I’m sure we were simply giving you another option as to what a lender might approve by having you consider a new, lesser trim level that what you might have been seeking at that time. We don’t beg anyone to purchase a new, plain truck, we would like for everyone to be able to purchase whatever vehicle they’d like, but again, the lender dictates an approval, or lack thereof. A lot of our customers have challenged/bad credit, but every situation is different depending upon a variety of factors that the lender will consider before granting an approval.

We are truly sorry that you feel the way you do because we truly value every single one of our customers, both sales and service, and truly appreciate your business. we have spoken with the Service Advisor, and he has checked his time-stamped outbound calls – and he did return your call on 1-7-19 @ 3:58 p.m. and informed you with regards to a headliner situation with the vehicle. He also didn’t understand why it was thought he was being rude, as he was truly trying to be helpful. As you left, you indicated that you had to reschedule the appointment, with the service advisor even opening the door for him as he left, so we are perplexed as to why you think that's identified as being rude. Additionally, the service advisor, as part of their job, informed you that your 36,000 mile/36 month gm, bumper to bumper warranty had expired. regardless of the price paid for any vehicle, a manfacturer’s warranty has terms/limits, but at the time of any customer’s purchase, they have the option to perhaps purchase an extended warranty plan(s) that could cover future repairs (every extended service plan is different). As far as a resolution is concerned, in almost every case, we have to have the vehicle on premises to identify/diagnose issues with any vehicle. If there is still any unresolved issues we would be happy to address them. obviously, this does not apply to the appt that needs to be rescheduled to repair the headliner, if you wish to move forward in that regard.
