This is my first time writing a review, although my S-80 has been serviced at Smythe Volvo for many years. The car rarely has issues beyond normal servicing. He fully explains any issues that might arise during the servicing, and presents options for dealing with any unexpected problem. Doug is knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. We own several Volvos. The quality of the service department is one reason that we continue to buy our new Volvos at Smythe. This visit was for routine maintenance and check-up for my 1993 Volvo 245 department is one reason that we continue to buy our new Volvos at Smythe. This visit was for routine maintenance and check-up for my 1993 Volvo 245 Wagon. The auto body remains in excellent condition. However, as you would expect in a car that is almost 20 years old, mechanical wear & tear in the suspension is progressing. Sean met me at the service counter. I then went for a road test w/ Doug. He patiently explained what work should be done until I get a new replacement wagon, probably later this spring, and what things could wait. Doug was a pleasure to work with.
