On the Rye Subaru Service website they have a banner that
says "Recalls or Loaner vehicle needed? Call to Schedule!" That's exactly what I did. The appointment was 2 weeks out because they had no loaners so

After I got there today on my appointment date, the service manager, Anthony got on the phone with my insurance company to make sure the work would be covered at the acceptable cost and it was. After everything was settled I asked for the loaner I was promised. Anthony told me they don't have one. I asked why I wasn't contacted and told. He replied that all the loaners are out and have not been returned or the loaners were involved in accidents. The general manager, Eric Pagan would not even discuss the issue out in the open (later I realized there was another dissatisfied customer out in the open area). During this time a white courtesy loaner was parked right outside. I asked the general manager why I can't have the loaner that's outside. He replied that it was for a customer. I replied I am also a customer. The general manager LIED and was DISCRIMINATING. He tried to say I did not have an appointment with a loaner. I told him to ask the individual (Sebastian) who made the appointment. First he replied the individual would not remember and when I told him he would definitely remember me or he should look it up he replied he didn't have to. I told him I am here, there is a loaner car outside and whomever they think is for is not even here and asked him why he was discriminating against me. He just refused and wanted me to rent a car at my own expense from Enterprise. I have all this on audio. I have records indicating when I called and made the appointment and who I spoke with. However, just the fact that the service manager stated all their cars are not back and then the general manager stated I did not have an appointment with a loaner shows their own discrepancy and cover up. My appointment was 8:30am and I left there at 9:56am and did not leave the car there since I did not receive the loaner promised and an arrogant, ignorant, lying general manager wanted me to incur a transportation fee for their mistake.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Like in all situations that end poorly, there are two sides to the story.
Here are a couple of facts/questions you omitted:
Why did your extended warranty company GEICO say your car was diagnosed at another Subaru dealer for this repair?
Was there an issue with the staff at that dealer, and they asked you to leave?
After sitting with my staff and the customers who witnessed your behavior, they all said you were RUDE to the GEICO agent, my team, and me personally. Our REAL CUSTOMERS were waiting for their vehicle to be serviced and were shocked at how you spoke to my team. They even bought us pastries to make our day better after you left. We have a minimum standard for all our customers, and it is simple, treat us the way you want to be treated. I wish you all the best in finding a place that will accept YOU and YOUR VEHICLE, but I am sorry it will not be us.

Good try Eric Pagan however, you should reread my notice. I have you on audio and will be happy to play it. I was not rude to Geico at all. Although it is none of your business, the reason I did not go to the other dealership is because they have no loaner cars. What is your business is that is why I booked an appointment to receive a loaner from Rye Subaru. The fact that you lied and discriminated is why you don't have my business. So I omitted nothing. ERIC PAGAN your lies are snowballing now. YOU cannot deny that I had an appointment for a loaner and you and your staff did not deliver even though there was a loaner available. Furthermore, the fact that you refer to "REAL CUSTOMERS" is telling of your discrimination. Thanks to the other "UN-REAL CUSTOMER" who was waiting and gave the owner of Rye Subaru's name, James Kingery as he stated he was also going to complain to him. Until he mentioned his name you and your staff did not want him involved. When someone is as incompetent, ignorant, rude, discriminatory and as big a liar as you are the boss should know. In closing, there are no sides that matter. It is only the truth that matters and I have stated the truth.

THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS! We agreed upon a purchase price for a new vehicle with a trade-in value for my existing Subaru. Then, at the last minute, the dealership tried to sneak in an extra $2,000 for themselves over the agreed-upon MSRP. They just slipped it in while we were discussing financing (hoping I wouldn't notice?), because it only raised my monthly payments by ~$30 per month over 5-6 years. I don't care if it only raises my monthly payments by ~$30 per month over 5-6 years; I'm still paying $2,000 MORE for the car than we agreed I would pay, which is an extremely sleazy business practice. And, after speaking with management, they defended their dealership's actions! Their entire management team is rotten from top to bottom. Ultimately, I walked away rather than deal with you guys, and everyone with an ounce of self-respect should do so too. STEER CLEAR OF THESE GUYS! THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!

Your response is transparent damage control and insincere public relations, pure and simple. There was no "miscommunication" over pricing. I was offered a trade-in price and a purchase price. I accepted the prices you offered. Then, when your dealership was drawing up the documents, one of your managers swooped in and added $2,000 to the purchase price (hoping I wouldn't notice, because it was spread out in the monthly payments over 5-6 years). When I called him out on it, he stood behind the price hike, claiming the "market" allowed him to gouge prices. When I spoke with your management team later that day, they also stood behind the price hike, claiming the "market" allowed them to gouge prices. Three days later, your dealership still stands behind the price hike, claiming the original agreed-upon price was a "miscommunication." But there was no "miscommunication." There was only greed on the part of your dealership, and a sleazy attempt to extract an extra $2,000 in profit from the sale. Yet, I'm sure Subaru did not increase the car's price to you, the dealership, by an extra $2,000 (or else the increase would have been reflected in the car's MSRP). So what makes you think you have the right to increase the price to me by an extra $2,000 that we did not initially agree upon? Please stop giving lip-service to "fair, honest pricing." Your dealership is committed to exploiting its customers, and extracting as much $$$ from them as you can get away with, by whatever means possible. And, notwithstanding your "apology" and claim to "value" your customers, you are still refusing to honor the prices we originally agreed-upon. So, the disingenuousness of your response is apparent to all on this website.
