What a nightmare!!! I purchased my Infinity Q50 from Bourne five months ago and although I had a very bad experience with them from the start I had not written a review d I purchased my Infinity Q50 from Bourne five months ago and although I had a very bad experience with them from the start I had not written a review due to how busy I've been. Fast forward to now, I'm still having issues with Bourne. I’m currently receiving bills for my car’s unpaid excise tax, which they charged me at time of purchase and should have been paid by Bourne when they registered my car. This along with a multitude of other issues, that I’m listing below, is what has led me to write this review. - In April, I called and arranged to test drive my car of interest with Kim. After the test drive I explained to Kim that I was interested in purchasing the car but that I heard a slight screeching sound when I turned it on and drove it around. She had one of Bourne’s mechanics come and turn the car on; both Kim and mechanic told me that the sound was normal. I was so in love with the car that I went ahead with the purchase. - After completing the purchase papers/finance documents I ended up waiting two hours before one of their finance representatives saw me. In the interim no one gave me updates on when I would be seen. - The financial representative automatically added extra coverage on my car, although my car was still under warranty and wouldn't expire for quite some time. If it weren’t for me reading the fine print carefully before signing the finance agreement, I would have had to pay an extra $80 monthly for a coverage that I didn't need. After I caught this extra charge, the rep removed it from my total costs without explaining why he had added it in the first place. - Since my purchase was made on Saturday I had to return to pick up the car on Monday, as long as I purchased car insurance and provided them with proof. On Monday morning I called Kim and left her a voicemail confirming my newly purchased insurance information. Hours had gone by and I still no word from Kim. I called her back and still couldn’t get a hold of her. By the way, Kim is rarely available to speak on the phone. She finally calls me back around 4pm saying that I could certainly come pick up as soon as I was able to. - When I arrived to pick up the car around 6pm, Kim was running around frantic and my car wasn’t ready. She explained that she hadn’t been able to process my insurance paperwork due to a name error. She proceeded to have me get on the phone with my insurance to help her fix the issue. I asked her why she had waited until I arrived to identify and address this issue. She didn’t really have an explanation other then the insurance didn’t send her the paperwork on time. Note that my insurance sent me a confirmation when they sent her the paperwork. She then suggested that I come back the following day. I explained to Kim that I lived and worked two hours away I couldn’t continue to travel back and forth to Bourne. Finally the name issue was resolved around 8pm, which led me to be late to my class. - The evening I picked up the car, as I was driving home from class, I got a check engine and oil message. The following day I called Kim and left her a voicemail explaining what happened. Kim called me back and spoke to me as if she had never interacted with me before. She told me I had to address this with the Bourne car shop. I then called the Bourne car shop and they asked I come back to get the error message turned off. They had simply forgotten to turn the error message off. A few days later I had to drive two hours to Bourne and back to get the error message fixed. While at the shop I explained to them that I was still hearing the screeching sound I heard during my test drive. They refused to inspect and recommended I take the car to Infinity to get it checked since it was still during manufacturer warranty. Mind you Bourne claims they have a 30-day warranty. - I took my car to Infinity and they told me the sound was coming from a deteriorated drive (serpentine) belt that was a risk of bursting. In addition infinity found that the tires and brakes needed to be replaced (my mistake for taking Bourne’s word about the car not needing anything replaced). - I called Bourne back and explained what infinity said and they ask that I bring the car back for them to inspect it. There I went driving another four hours. After Post inspection Bourne refused to fix breaks and tires but agreed to replace the drive belt. However, they asked that I come back another day to get the belt fixed because they had to order the part. - Bourne rep, Kory (who was pretty condescending) said he’d call when they received the part. Two weeks later still no call from Bourne. I ended up having to call them and ask about the status of the belt. According to the rep the part had been receipt by Bourne the week prior. A few days later I finally get the belt fixed after another four-hour trip to Bourne. Would I recommend purchasing from Bourne, absolutely not; that is of course unless you are ok with having your time wasted. More
