I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Kona SEL Electric car from Echo Park in Avondale on March 28th, 2026 and the finance manager or sales person never disclosed to me that they were taking my vehicle registration Echo Park in Avondale on March 28th, 2026 and the finance manager or sales person never disclosed to me that they were taking my vehicle registration that I paid until May 2027 and used it to pay for my new registration. In my eyes, these should be two different transactions. This seems very shady. I should have received a check from the DMV for overpaying on my old car. Which I usually get with each new car I purchased in the past. I thought I was paying for a brand-new registration for my 2023 Hyundai SEL Electric car, but the DMV said they used my refund to pay for part of my new registration. I feel like the dealership did this to make more profit. The finance person only talked to me for about 2 minutes. They never asked how I wanted the title of my car. I felt like they didn’t go over things well. If you buy a car from Echo Park, really look over your contract and ask a lot of questions. I would buy a car from Carvana or Car Max to avoid the $699 doc fee and $699 paint protection fee. These are just junk fees to make the dealership rich. My sales person was amazing, but the overall experience was a little disappointing. I bought a 30 thousand dollar used truck and was unhappy with the cleanliness of the vehicle. I waited to take delivery of the vehicle till the next day. I was told that my truck was being detailed. When I picked it up the next day. The truck was even worse then the last time I saw it. I showed the manager and was told that He was very sorry. The management was very disappointed in their service department and made it very clear that they were working on replacing the staff they had on. That's all great and everything but I was a casualty in the mix. I still have issues with the car but I'm working on them privately. There are a lot of dealerships and there and no excuse for poor customer service. Buy at your own risk. More
