I had trouble finding the car I wanted online, so I stopped by Heritage after lunch one day. By 6pm they had found me a car in Delaware and brought it to the dealership. Their extensive inventory is what first caught my attention. Their competitive rates stood out next. When I called for more info about one of the cars, I spoke to Alex Laderer, my Sales Consultant. w attention. Their competitive rates stood out next. When I called for more info about one of the cars, I spoke to Alex Laderer, my Sales Consultant. who was thoroughly informative, easy going, and inviting. I was getting all the answers and no pressure. It felt more like I was talking to another customer than a sales rep about the car's pros and cons, its market value, and so on. He made it easy to just think out loud, as it were, so I scheduled an appointment to come in the next day for a test drive. A little later, James, the sales manager, called and I thought for sure this was where the pressure was going to come in. But it didn't. He was very transparent and said if I was serious about buying a car, then he was serious about making it worth my while. I was serious about buying a car this week, so I took him up on the offer and he was true to his word. When I got to the dealership and the whole time there, it literally felt like my car purchase was the only one on the docket that day, even though it was obvious that it was anything but. A busy dealership is a good sign, and I'd have understood having to wait, but I didn't have to. The whole staff is very attentive to customers, ensuring that they come first. Very impressive. My situation had some challenges. The car I was trading in had some known problems that I knew were going to drive its trade-in value down. Alex came back with a trade-in value that exceeded my expectations! He was even apologetic that it wasn't more and detailed exactly how they determined the value. This gave me a lot of peace of mind. I'd been in this situation before and, based on past experience, this was the part I was dreading most. That it turned out to be a pleasant surprise got the rest of the discussion about numbers off on the right foot. I was also buying from out of state and had recently moved but hadn't updated all my references. This gave Alex and Josh Jones, the Finance Manager, no small amount of extra paperwork to plow through. I felt sorry for them. Nonetheless, they blasted through it like they do this all the time. Indeed, they are experts and weren't phased in the least with all the extra details to sort out. If anything, they seemed to feel sorry for me having to deal with it. It was a positive synergy. It had taken me over an hour to sort things out with my insurance company and that was the only hard part on my end, especially compared to how smoothly everything went with Alex and Josh. When we got to the part of working out the final financials with Josh, it was getting close to 9 pm. I was running out of steam at this point and took great comfort in Josh's seasoned acumen and attention to detail. He didn't rush through or cut corners. With the efficiency that only comes with experience, he got me through all the not so fun details no sweat and I was off to the races with a new set of keys before I could take a yawn break. I'm 53 and have owned a car since I was 16. There have been a lot of vehicle purchases -- cars, trucks, and motorcycles -- over the years and many of them positive. Buying my new (to me) Subaru Outback from Alex and the gang (James and Josh) has been the best experience to date. I don't say this lightly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. More

Top notch, stress-free experience at Heritage Subaru in Ownings Mills. From the moment that Sales Associate Chris Felker walked in the showroom with me to the moment he shook my hand before I drove my new Ownings Mills. From the moment that Sales Associate Chris Felker walked in the showroom with me to the moment he shook my hand before I drove my new pre-owned car off the lot (just under 4 hours), it was the most professional experience I have had in my 40 years of driving and purchasing new cars. Chris could (and should) teach a Master class in how associates should interface with customers. He was tuned in to what I wanted and needed. Knowledgeable, prepared and of course respectful and friendly. Also of note was my interaction with Sales Manager James Pedersen who evaluated my trade-in. Fully explained his assessment. He was genuinely concerned about my safety in that vehicle even if I wasn’t going to purchase a car from Heritage. And finally, working with F&I Manager Milton Taylor capped off the day. No pressure to accept options for financing that did not fit my desire. (And finishing all of the financial paperwork electronically was a bonus of the process.) My sister has been a customer with Heritage Subaru for 14+ years and she told me I could trust them. She was right! Chris, James and Milton make a great Team! Thank you for a great experience. More
