Mr. Fox, I do not believe that is exactly accurate, the pricing of our vehicles listed DO NOT lump in incentives and rebates. The pricing listed is for a purchase not a lease in which you inquired about. There are different incentives and rebates for a lease vs. a purchase, we do not list our vehicles as leases but if you inquired for a lease quote we would have provided you a lease quote. As for you being told to slow down I believe it was because you were very aggressive with your demands and by you trying to get a lease quote to register the vehicle in Missouri which has different incentives and registration, sales tax that are different than Rhode Island. As for the manager yelling at you the price on the website was for a purchase not a lease, I was simply answering your question why the price listed on the website was different than the price of the lease from my office which was about 10 feet away while we both were communicating from that distance. I found it also strange that you knew the money factor the lease was being based on and the rest of your demands such as we were not allowed to sell the vehicle above invoice, were not able to mark up the money factor etc etc but could not understand that there are different incentives and rebates for a purchase vs. a lease. As for your comment as in the time of COVID, we are all experiencing the added stress and we have taken extreme measure to protect our employees and customers, we have created a delivery service for our sales customers and service customers. Keep in mind we all have a job to do and it is a much more pleasurable, less stressful experience for everyone when the customer and the sales rep work together. As the customer has the choice of where and whom they want to do business with so does the dealer have that choice. I'm sorry you feel the way you do but I believe your approach may have caused your own dissatisfaction. Flood Mazda is ranked as one of the highest when it comes to transparency, honesty and ease of doing business. Thank you and best of luck finding the vehicle of your choice at the dealer of your choice.

Thank you for your input but we are compliant, best of luck and you have no need to be disappointed since we will not be doing business together.

Please do let me know of your results, and I hope this doesn't consume your whole day I'm sure you are still trying to find the vehicle so you can use your Missouri address in order to get owner loyalty for your mothers vehicle that will be in Rhode Island. Now who is not being compliant. Please feel free to have the Attorney General's office contact our General Manager personally. Thank you again it was such a pleasure to meet you.

First off, you said there is no disclaimer on our website. This is not true. Here it is below: Disclaimer We cannot be held responsible for typographical errors. If the posted or emailed price, incentive, vehicle or offer is incorrect due to typographical and or other errors we will only be responsible for honoring the correct price, incentive, vehicle or offer. It is your responsibility to verify with us that all details listed including price are accurate. Contact dealer for availability & pricing. Secondly, you called the dealership and I was happy to assist you immediately. I just needed a moment to grab a piece of paper so that I could write everything down so that I didn't miss anything that was important to you and that I would be able to give the information to my finance manager firsthand to get you the best possible pricing. There were a lot of moving parts to what you were discussing with me (loyalty, grounding the car, the current pricing, you being from out of state, the current vehicle not being in state, how much you wanted to put down, the money factor and residual etc.). I gave you several verbal cues that I was uncomfortable with your methodology. I felt like you were verbally pushing me around from the onset of the call. A little professional courtesy goes a long way. The best way to get what you want from a dealer is to be polite and communicate what you are looking for effectively. You were very aggressive and pushy on the phone to the point where I felt uncomfortable with you. You showed up unannounced on Saturday and again were very pushy and aggressive. I felt completely blindsided/uncomfortable with you but was still happy to help as I always do my best and am relatively polite. One of the many reasons I love working for Flood Auto Group is that they believe in investing in human capital. They ensure that we work in a safe and comfortable environment and we do not have to work with anyone that makes us uncomfortable. Part of being a great company is looking out for your employees as well as your customers at the same time. I asked my general manager for the numbers you were asking for with the money factor you asked for before the tax and registration, so that I could give you the numbers you were asking for. Nobody was yelling at you as you state in your original review. Our general manager answered your questions about the money factor he used to arrive at his numbers. Both of you were talking to each other back and forth at the same volume. In any case, I'm sorry that the numbers don't work for you and your mother. There's a right way and a wrong way to do things. I am a completely approachable reasonable person and happy to assist anyone who may need help whether it's just a test drive, gathering information or assisting them with the entire buying process. If you or anyone else looks, they will see that your review is in beyond stark contrast to what other customers are saying about both myself and Flood Mazda both in Service and in Sales. We are known for delivering outstanding customer service, a transparent buying process, as well as doing everything we can for our customers. While I appreciate people voicing their opinions in this format good or bad (even a negative review sometimes helps because it allows us to examine our processes and improve on a daily basis), there is a big difference from stating what you perceive your experience was and deliberately trying to inflict damage or to tear down our hard work. We are all one Team here at Flood Mazda. We take pride in the work that we do and the service that we deliver. I wish you luck and success on your search. Best, Jason J. I recognize there are different rebates for purchase versus lease but my point is that you clearly listed the price on your website as wholly dealer discount. It did not specify for purchase only. It is actually adjacent to other incentives for lease that implies they could be combined. If I could post a screenshot to dispute your claim I would, but it clearly listed as a dealer discount. Seriously disappointed that you are unable to acknowledge the error in your pricing on your website. Take ownership and fix it rather than make excuses.

You clearly are not in compliance. Review 280-RICR-30-20-1.9(C) but of course we will see if the Attorney General's office agrees with you or with me.

Your ignorance is staggering. Best of luck continuing to mislead Rhode Island consumers.

Just reading this response and cannot believe they took this much effort to explain their poor service. If only they paid as much attention to improving the customer experience than they do to use half truths to manipulate the situation. There were no typographical errors, rather, misleading and manipulative pricing. Was able to get a better deal for a better equipped vehicle at a more reputable dealership. Could not be happier!
