I am an ex Toyota mechanic and I would only recommend an air filter after an actual inspection. Other shops provide free brake inspection during a on lift style oil change. It’s something to do while oil is draining. For what the hourly rate is consumers would like to know the car is being properly once over visually, plus tire pressure checked. If you’re just making recommendations due to mileage the shop is just profit driven. More
