Handling of a tire with screw in it I came in for my 1st maintenance visit on my 2018 Buick Enclave and mentioned I have a nail or screw in one of my tires. Jo explained that if the nail I came in for my 1st maintenance visit on my 2018 Buick Enclave and mentioned I have a nail or screw in one of my tires. Jo explained that if the nail is through the tire I may need a new tire and if it hadn't gone through the tire they maybe able to patch it. Jo said they wouldn't pull the nail until they knew there was a new tire available. Jo called to see if there was a tire in town and he told me there was one. I setup an appointment for the next Monday. My Monday appointment was at 9:45 am. Jo came out and told me he had bad news... my car needs a new tire. He then told me there is no tire my size in town. I asked what happened to the tire he found previously. He said it was no longer available. Then I said I can't drive then. Jo said we will put the spare tire on. He called and a new tire would be there by 10am the next day. When I got home I looked at my tire and the screw was still in it. My husband called around and found a new tire at a tire dealership in town. I called and left Jo a voice message stating I found a tire and will not need the tire he had coming. I also called the Service Manager and left him a voicemail of what happened. He returned my call shortly thereafter and immediately apologized and said he would pull all involved together the next morning to discuss this. I told him I have lost trust in the service department. When I got my car at the tire shop, I was informed that I didn't need a new tire and given the screw that they removed from my tire. It was a 3/16" screw. More
