I had a DMV issue because I had moved from out of state. DMV would not register the car because of a discrepancy. Honda Universe sent John McGraw to the DMV in person with me to clear up the issue! No other DMV would not register the car because of a discrepancy. Honda Universe sent John McGraw to the DMV in person with me to clear up the issue! No other dealership would do that. I thank him and I would definitely go back to Honda Universe! More

I have purchased many cars over the course of my lifetime but my most recent purchase from Honda Universe in Lakewood, NJ has been my WORST EXPERENCE ever and my biggest regret. The moment I walked through t but my most recent purchase from Honda Universe in Lakewood, NJ has been my WORST EXPERENCE ever and my biggest regret. The moment I walked through the door I felt attacked by three salespeople who immediately applied high pressure tactics over the course of seven and a half hours to wear me down. I don’t know why I didn’t just walk out but somehow, they made me feel like that wasn’t an option. They pushed hard for me to buy a particular 2021 Honda CRV. Once I got home, I discovered why. It was dark by the time I left the dealership. No one ever went over the cars features or showed me where things were located. The next morning my husband went out to apply Rain-X to the windshield and noticed a deep chip in the upper most corner of the windshield on the driver’s side. I am 100% sure it did not happen on my way home because I definably would have heard the impact. The chip is too large and in a place where it cannot be filled. As I said, it was dark when I left the dealership and being short, it was in a place that I could not see. I’ve tried several times to work something out with the dealership who won’t accept any responsibility. The General Manager Glenn told me “it‘s not their problem”, and there is nothing he is going to do about it. At that point I contacted American Honda’s corporate office who took down my concerns and gave me a claim number. Someone was supposed to contact me in a few days. It’s been more than a few days and I still have not heard from them. Windshields are very expensive to replace. The least they could do is offer to pay the $500 deductible. I love the car, but the dealership’s poor customer service and the nasty general manager have taken all the joy out of owning a new car. Long story short, Honda’s are great cars, but DO NOT BUY FROM HONDA UNIVERSE. Find a more reputable dealership to purchase a Honda from. More

I recently had a stress-free buying experience at Honda Universe in Lakewood, NJ, thanks to John McGraw and Neil Goldstein. My current lease was ending and I wanted another Honda CR-V. Both men were patie Universe in Lakewood, NJ, thanks to John McGraw and Neil Goldstein. My current lease was ending and I wanted another Honda CR-V. Both men were patient with me in all aspects of the purchase from agreeing on the amount of monthly payments to choosing the model (I happily upgraded), color, etc. They answered my questions and showed their knowledge of the vehicle. The day I picked up my new car, it was ready, as well as all paperwork. What more could I ask for? The financial man, Rahsann, was pleasant as we went through all the signatures before I left. Mostly, though, was their overall genuine, friendly, customer service. This is a dealership I am comfortable with because of their staff that I have come to trust. Thank you! More

Mr. McGraw makes the car buying/se the best experience when buying or servicing a car, the person who’s name that is always mentioned is John McGraw. Mr. McGraw makes the car buying/servicing experience very enjoyable. He is very professional and when you enter the dealership, you know that John will take care of you. He makes sure that the customer is satisfied with his purchase and if there is any service required on a vehicle, he makes sure the customer is satisfied with the service. Because of John McGraw, I am a Honda Universe customer for life. There is no other person I would want to work with when purchasing or servicing a car, or any automobile. Thank you Mr. McGraw! More
