Issues with Service Specials and Price Gauging I used to love Russ Darrow Honda for their service dept, but not anymore. What kind of business advertises “service specials” right on their own websi I used to love Russ Darrow Honda for their service dept, but not anymore. What kind of business advertises “service specials” right on their own website, but then doesn’t apply those spevials UNLESS THE CUSTOMER SPECIFICALLY DEMANDS THEM. Answer: Russ Darrow Honda. What kind of business tells you to your face that a service will take 45 minutes, but even after 75 minutes hasn’t updated you on the readon for the delay? Answer again : Russ Darrow Honda. And what company tells you you need “intermediated brake service” when you just had front pads and both front rotors repaired. BY THEM only 9 months earlier? Answer: Russ Darrow Honda. They used to be much better than this. I also noticed that most of the 5 service advisors working today were not familiar from 9 months ago. Coincidence? Maybe. I don’t think I’ll be staying with them when they relocate this summer. I trust my local Firestone more. Oh, and they tried to charge me $49.95 to replace a $20 cabin air filter that took me ... and unskilled owner ... literally 2 minutes total to remove and then install. Technician Rocco wrote in one note that my coolant was low, but did not indicate that he topped it off as is customary practice at most car repair facilities..... and I just went out to check and NO HE DID NOT TOP OFF COOLANT, yet on the multipoint summary Rocco marked GREEN which means satisfactory which it was BELOW LINE MARKED MINIMUM. Fail on this one! More

So nice to work with a straightforward and honest Salesman! It was immediately clear that Michael was honest and that there were no games being played. He was available for additional questions, and returned phone calls promptly. I am a social worker and one doesn't get into that profession for the money. I left $1,000.00 on the table at one dealership, and $500.00 at the other, as I was so disgusted with them that I could not bear to give them my business - sleazy does not stat to describe the experience. Finding Michael was a gift. More

I was hearing some engine noise, and the service team was able to diagnose the issue. A little investment in old reliable and I’m very hopeful 200k plus is well in reach. John keep me in the loop with options, the parts were in, and 24hrs later... I’m on the road again. More
