Justin was pleasant and managed my service visit efficiently. One of the recommended services after the multi-point inspection was for a transmission fluid exchange. Interesting, since I had that service done at my last visit to DCH Kay Honda. It may have just been an oversight, which is understandable, but it causes me to pause and wonder how these service recommendations are formulated. I appreciate that Justin did not pressure me to have other services done, but made me aware of things that may need attention in the future. Overall, I have a positive view of DCH Kay Honda, both on the sales and the service side of the business. My only concerns are related to your service center pricing model. My car was due for a brake fluid exchange (after 3 years) and I asked Justin if DCH Kay Honda could match a Goodyear $99 promotion for this service. He told me a brake fluid exchange at DCH Kay Honda is $189 (!) and he would not be able to discount the service by that much. Although I would have preferred to have the work done at DCH Kay Honda, for the *significant* difference in price, I had it done at Goodyear. Also, I needed to have a flat tire patched, due to an embedded screw in the treads. DCH Kay Honda wanted $59 (!) to repair the tire; Goodyear did it for $30. Finally, I *really* dislike the $9.99 charge that is added to every work order, purportedly for “shop supplies” and previously, during the pandemic, for “safety materials”. Considering *none* of my car’s fluids were topped off as part of the services and I was charged separately for an oil filter crush washer, I consider this fee to be bogus and just another profit center for the dealership. Although this type of deceptive practice is rampant in the auto service industry, at least in NJ, it certainly isn’t enhancing your reputation. Please consider advertising the fully loaded price of your services to include incidentals (formerly known as overhead). More

I don't know why they are asking me for a review when my car (a certified pre-owned vehicle) is back for the fourth time with the same issue that they still have not properly fixed. I'm assuming at this point they are throwing darts at a wall and seeing what sticks and just shutting the light off each time they give it back to me. I'm already out over $700 and countless hours of my time with this issue but stuck bringing it back to them because I don't want to start over with someone new. It really sucks being at the mercy of a dealership who tells you the wait for a loaner car is over a month long (you have clients waiting a month for a loaner? As in it's taking you over a month to fix their car?!) but when you complain to the manager he's able to get you in one within days. The squeaky wheel seems to get the grease here so hopefully a candis review like this will get my car fixed properly and warm whoever else uses them to come ready to put the pressure on to get the service you desire. More
