The service was done at the appointed time and quickly. Maple Hill Auto is always great about service! That’s one of the reasons I will continue to purchase cars from them. Maple Hill Auto is always great about service! That’s one of the reasons I will continue to purchase cars from them. More

Worst business experience of my life! If you're working-class or have a vintage Volvo, read this! I wish I could give negative stars. The key for my vintage Volvo station wagon was misplaced. Th working-class or have a vintage Volvo, read this! I wish I could give negative stars. The key for my vintage Volvo station wagon was misplaced. This car was a birthday present for my daughter who is turning 16 in July. Her dream car is a vintage Volvo wagon, so I bought her one on my limited budget as a truck driver. I tried to have a key made locally (I live in Indiana) but Volvo has 'proprietary rights' for key duplication - so I was forced to tow my car to the dealership just to have another key made. Kalamazoo was the closest Volvo dealership to me. I made an appointment and then rented a Uhaul trailer and towed the wagon to the lot myself. I dropped my car off in good faith that the dealership would provide the service that they promised. While on the lot, my car was vandalized and the battery was stolen. There were panhandlers on the lot when the car was dropped off, hitting me up for cash. No fence,, no security.. Sketch... First red flag. A few days later, when I was in CALIFORNIA on a run,, the service scheduler called and was very rude, told me that my car was "hacked apart" and that they won't service it. She said I needed to pick it up immediately. I said, "slow down here" and asked how much it would be to have the entire thing repaired. She said they refuse to work on "junk" and to come pick it up or it would be towed. Mind you, the car ran great before the key was misplaced. All I needed was a key made! I explained that I'm an over the road truck driver and that I'm gone for three weeks at a time in California and Arizona. I requested that they give me a little extra time to come pick it up. She said I could have some extra time and they would notify me if they were going to have it towed. I called earlier this week and let them know that I was sending up a tow truck to pick it up. Today when my tow truck driver arrived, they told the driver that they had already towed the car to impound. I was never notified! Totally blindsided! The balance for the towing/impound now exceeds the value of the car. I've bled out thousands of dollars just to NOT get my key made! I've spent/lost money on: Original Uhaul/fuel/time towing to Kalamazoo New tow fee for the attempted pickup by the tow company I sent up today Impound/tow fees for Maple Hill's tow company I never imagined that I'd literally have a vehicle vandalized/stolen/disappear simply by trusting a supposedly reputable business to duplicate a key for me. They made it clear that they only want to service elite customers who own newer Volvos. They treated me like a piece of trash. If you own a newer Volvo, I'm sure Maple Hill will be glad to overcharge you for service/parts. If you're working-class or have a vintage Volvo, assume the position. AVOID! More
