Our team’s recommendation has been reviewed and confirmed by our management team, that the items mentioned should be further reviewed by the collision center that you are already working with, and potentially included in the open insurance claim. Based on our assessment of the vehicle and its condition, there are a number of items within the vehicle that are askew and could potentially impact adjacent parts/systems within. After further review of our communication with the parties involved, we must respectfully disagree with your position on this matter, but certainly apologize for any misunderstanding that took place along the way. Upon inspection of the damage, our team’s position has remained unchanged on what would be possible or appropriate under the terms and coverage of your warranty to complete at this time. Furthermore, our time has maintained and still maintains that we would be happy to further inspect your vehicle once all repairs related to the vehicle’s damage are complete. We would also like to confirm there are no recalls or special coverage present on your specific vehicle. Our team determined that the malfunction was caused due to the accident that the vehicle experienced, and further repairs should be completed by the body shop you are currently using. One more very positive point regarding my recent service of my 2020 Chevy Silverado 3.0 Duramx diesel truck. Luke the service advisor did a great job communicating with me and the technician. The Technician (Chuck W.) did a great job troubleshooting the issue and correcting the issue. The past few days that I've been driving the truck proved that it is totally back to it's original condition and fully repaired. We understand that it can be frustrating when certain repairs are not covered under your vehicle's warranty or protection plan. However; we do not appreciate or agree with the comments and suggestions you made in your review and would like to add further clarification in case there was any misunderstanding during your recent visit. Our team submitted all of the documentation and materials required to request coverage under warranty for your vehicle's repairs. It was determined, not by Lester Glenn Chevrolet, but by those that administer the warranty that these repairs would not be covered under warranty. We, at the dealership, do not make these decisions or have any weight on the decisions made, all we can do is provide documentation and work with those that administer the warranty - whether it be the third party or the manufacturer - to provide all of the information requested. Whether your work is covered under warranty or not, a payment is made to us (or any service center) for any work completed. That payment may be made directly by you or your organization, or by the warranty company. We pride ourselves on providing honest assessments for required repairs and recommended services in a very transparent way to all of our customers, whether they have a warranty or not. As a certified Chevrolet repair facility, we operate within the rules and guidelines that General Motors holds us accountable to, and operate in good faith of our customers, as we have since we first opened the doors of our building in 2011. We are very sorry to hear you feel this way. If you feel that the warranty coverage decision is incorrect, we recommend that you reach out to General Motors or your warranty provider to have further discussion with them as they might be able to provide additional clarity that we were unable to offer you.
