Buying Outback at Gerald - A Leo Experience! It all started with Monomoy aka Manny. :) . I reached out to Gerald Subaru for a quote on Subaru Outback, thorough follow up by Manny and an excellent It all started with Monomoy aka Manny. :) . I reached out to Gerald Subaru for a quote on Subaru Outback, thorough follow up by Manny and an excellent on-site sales experience with Leo Lopez made my car experience unique. A warm welcome, no sales pressure, relaxed environment, friendly staff, car demonstration helped to deliver an excellent customer experience. I had narrowed down two dealers and went to Gerald(with a hope to get good experience) even though the price was little higher hoping Gerald to beat or meet the other dealers price. We ended by paying little bit more but I decided to pay that for the experience that Leo provided. Thank you Manny and Leo - you have done your job to the best possible extent that you both can. Now, it is up to Gerald staff to make the after sales customer experience unique. I am hoping to get the best after sales experience with an unique differentiation, which will help to recommend you to all my friends and family for their car needs. Again, Thank You Manny and Leo. Scammy I started by finding a vehicle on the Gerald website and clicking the "Click Here for Lowest Gerald Price". Within 10 minutes I had an email with pri I started by finding a vehicle on the Gerald website and clicking the "Click Here for Lowest Gerald Price". Within 10 minutes I had an email with pricing for the car I had inquired about (MSRP: $28,074, YOUR PRICE: $25,813). I scheduled an appointment for later that week. When I showed up, the car was out front (no window sticker in sight) and we left for our test drive. We come back and decide we want to move forward with the purchase. In the dealership system, the salesman can see what I was offered online. I confirm with him that this is the price. He says yes, but there will be additional charges of $875 for a package that EVERY car the dealer offers comes with, whether the buyer wants it or not. He leaves to go talk to a manager and comes back with only a payment. No actual pricing, just a payment and asks what I think about it. I tell him it's way more than I expected, so we start going back and forth. By the third time the salesman walked away to talk to the manager, we had been there nearly three hours and I was starting to do the math on the payment they presented to me and couldn't figure out how it was as high as it was. I got up and went to talk to the manager myself. I found out the price they were trying to charge me for the car was much greater than the agreed upon internet price (by some $3,000). He tried telling me there was a mistake with the internet offer, then backpedaled, so we agreed upon $26,400 (including that ridiculous $875 forced package). When I signed the papers, the price was $27,200. Lying, scamming, terrible dealer. I strongly suggest going elsewhere. More

Leo took over from there and literally made us feel "at home" (his catch phrase I guess) and went over the details of the vehicle and all the financial intricacies involved. Never once did we hear the dreaded "What can I do to get you in the car? " with just one back and forth walk to his manager on Pricing. Would definitely come back and ask for Leo again. We could not have asked for a better experience. After the Deal was inked, Tim went over the financing options and all the maintenance plans in detail. And we were one happy customer driving out of the dealer lot with brand new Subaru. Thanks folks !!!! More

Gerald makes a frustrating process, a pleasant one. Car buying can be a frustrating experience. However, my visit to Gerald Subaru was pleasant and efficient. As a first time car buyer, I had many questions about not just Subaru's, but car buying in general which Anna was able to assist. I came into the dealership convinced that I was going to buy a Legacy, Anna listened to my concerns and reasoning, and she recommended that I test drive not only the Legacy, but the Crosstrek as well. I went home after by initial visit to do more research. I'm known to be hard to work with and can be stubborn at times, but Anna and her team were extremely patient with me throughout the process, and were able to answer questions and inquiries at all hours of the day (and night) via email, text, and phone. I highly recommend the test track that's available at this dealership. I happened to come on a day when many inches of snow accumulated on the track, and I was able to experience first hand the power of the AWD on the Legacy and the Crosstrek. The prices are fair. If you do your homework, you will be rewarded. If you're reading this review, i'm sure that you're getting bombarded by emails, phone calls, and voicemails from the multiple Subaru dealerships in the Chicagoland area. I've done my research on all of them, and have experienced first hand the generosity and expertise of Gerald Subaru, and highly recommend that you ask for Anna Smith when you walk through the doors. They truly make car buying a positive experience, even for a frustrating customer like me. More

Anna's salesmanship was assertive but not so much that we wanted to walk out the door. We were overwhelmed with Anna, hence the 5 stars. Manny (good for you!) was persistent by email and phone, which is why we stopped in. (you are the only name we remembered from the many calls we got) We also came here because of the lifetime warranty. Stephen Cook, thanks for stopping by and chatting with us. Low-balled my car by nearly 2000 bucks despite the fair KBB results (AND ANOTHER DEALER PAYING THAT WITH NO ISSUE) and the trying to ask the grand prize for a new Outback, 2500 bucks higher than what the other dealer charged. Ipso facto a complete waste of time and these guys were not in good faith nor trustworthy. More

The entire process was very positive, easy, and stress-free from the moment we used Truecar.com for pricing and arranged a test drive through Steve Cooks and Manny and meeting Jesse Bush then Tony for financing. Jesse, our sales consultant is a person of integrity, professional, and takes pride in what he does. He made sure that all our needs and concerns were addressed and met. He definitely and went above and beyond so that we got the best deal and best financing available. Tony was very persistent and got us the best rate which was even better than our pre-approval rate. He was also very informative and patient. He presented us with the best warranty options and helped decide on the best choice.
