Nelson has been in the auto industry for over 29 years. He's been with Brewster Subaru for over 20. He is an avid dog lover, owning a German Shepherd named Mac. He welcomes all canine companions to our showroom, but be prepared, as he will play with them all day. Having been a Putnam County resident, his main focus is making our customers feel like family. He wants to make your buying process as simple and easy as possible. He is all about the customer experience and building a strong working relationship for years to come.

MY SUBARU EXPERIENCE GOT EVEN BETTER....14 YEARS LATER My first Subaru was amazing...it would still be on the road except it experienced a deer interaction that didn't end well for anyone...we knew we want My first Subaru was amazing...it would still be on the road except it experienced a deer interaction that didn't end well for anyone...we knew we wanted a SUBARU...AND A FORESTER...so we did our homework AND our research of prices, etc. We contacted many area Subaru dealerships...and Brewster Subaru BEAT THEM ALL!! Even when we went back and told another dealer our price, he recommended we take it at Brewster Subaru!!! That was just the beginning of our Subaru experience. We met with General Mgr, Nelson Demelo who gave us our pricing. He was so easy to talk to and answered all our questions honestly and efficiently...and as a bonus was very funny!!! We did feel like family. Our salesman Anthony Pilla was knowledgeable and took an amazing amount of time with us!!!..and again...was incredibly funny!! Rich Johnson was precise and knowledgeable and spent over an hour with us...we went through each paper and he answered all out questions...we chatted and had...fun!! This was the easiest, most pain free and money saving car buying experience I have ever had....amazingly EVERYONE we met was nice ...and incredibly FUNNY! I ABSOLUTELY recommend Brewster Subaru to anyone looking for the best deal out there!! More

Customer Service at its Best!!! I just recently purchased a 2017 Subaru Forester from Brewster Subaru in NY. I normally don't take the time to write a review, but in this instance, I just recently purchased a 2017 Subaru Forester from Brewster Subaru in NY. I normally don't take the time to write a review, but in this instance, I felt compelled. Having time to reflect on my buying experience, I realized over the 8 cars I've purchased in my lifetime, I have never felt so happy and comfortable with the process. I can honestly say, the staff, leadership, and quality of the office space and environment, is second to none. Nelson, the General Manager, is the real deal when it comes to professionalism, creativity, patience and first class service. The quality of a Subaru can sell itself, but it's the staff, process, and buying experience that makes all of the difference.
