I had an extremely frustrating experience with the service department at Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin. I was contacted repeatedly over several months to schedule a service and recall, and I was very clear service department at Mercedes-Benz of Rocklin. I was contacted repeatedly over several months to schedule a service and recall, and I was very clear each time that I live two hours away and could only come in if a loaner vehicle was provided. During those communications, I was told what was necessary to get me scheduled and out to the dealership. However, once I arrived, the situation was presented very differently, as if the appointment was optional or something I had pushed for, despite the dealership initiating repeated contact. I ultimately scheduled the appointment with the understanding that a loaner would be available. Based on that, I drove 160 miles round trip, paid for gas, rearranged my schedule as a nursing student, and coordinated childcare for what I thought would be a drop off situation. When I arrived, I was then told I would need to pay for a loaner, deal with unexpected mileage limits, or return the same day, none of which were communicated beforehand. Had this been disclosed upfront, I would not have made the trip. This was a clear breakdown in communication that resulted in wasted time, unnecessary mileage, and out-of-pocket costs. Customers should not have their time and resources wasted due to internal miscommunication. To think I was even considering purchasing another vehicle from this location prior to this experience. As a customer who has used this Rocklin dealership since purchasing my vehicle, I’ve never experienced an issue like this before, the complete disregard for my time is unacceptable and is reason enough for me to take my business elsewhere and suggest others to do the same. More
