Roland was phenomenal in helping my husband and I purchase our first car. He really knows how to read the room. He was not pushy or invasive and we felt that he understood not only our personalities purchase our first car. He really knows how to read the room. He made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions. Everyone else we had the pleasure of working with were great as well. This was an emergency situation and we needed a car as soon as possible. We were in the dealership and out of the dealership with a car in 4-5 hours. We were very Grateful for the pricing we received and man oh man is our car absolutely perfect. We have been driving ancient cars for decades…so you can imagine the bliss we are experiencing! "Valley Honda Teamwork Made Our Dream Work" My wife's 16, almost 17-old car died, at THE most inopportune time of course, now what?! Just six weeks prior I'd leased a 2024 Honda CR-V AWD Hybrid Sport 16, almost 17-old car died, at THE most inopportune time of course, now what?! Just six weeks prior I'd leased a 2024 Honda CR-V AWD Hybrid Sport Touring from Valley Honda, and I felt "absolutely no way" could our family afford a second new vehicle, meeting my wife's criteria, at our price-range, in our already strained budget, within a 50-mile radius...anywhere. My first thought: return to Valley Honda of Naperville, to the Sales & Leasing Consultant (S&LC) (and hopefully the same Sales Manager). This was THE Team that had "pulled off a minor miracle" and met me within budget, at a down payment and a monthly payment price, I could afford, leasing me my "Dream Vehicle," the aforementioned CR-V. Maybe they could help? Via email my S&LC informed me they were on a family vacation - they replied to me while on vacation?! - and would I be willing to work with someone they recommended from their S&LC Team? I agreed. Reluctantly, but hopefully. Referred to a second S&LC, via email: here is my wife's criteria, our numbers, and here is the Honda model/trim I think would work for us, tick off all our boxes...can you help? Them, "Let me see what I can do." Time passed: model/trim research occurred, price negation went back and forth, and confirmation of understanding was achieved. And then, unfortunately, as they were not in the following day, this second S&LC had to pass me on to another, third S&LC. The next day: enter the third S&LC, Mr. Roland Gomez. Could he get me to come in for a test drive? Yes, me and my wife, child. When? That night? He said would be ready for us. Me and my family showed up later that evening. After we were introduced to Mr. Gomez via his Sales Manager partner, I essentially said, "This is for my wife. I trust you." True to his word, he had a vehicle ready to go and my wife and child were led away to experience Valley Honda Customer, Sales Service. With my wife, Mr. Gomez went over the details of the make/model I had recommended to the Team. He answered her questions to her satisfaction. He took her, and my child, for a test drive. She was "sold"...but there were three (3) trims available. So many choices, so little time to decide, and would our budget numbers be sufficient, for ANY model trim? Unfortunately, we had to turn down Mr. Gomez's offer to stay a bit longer to discuss numbers, negotiate a bit more, etc. that evening, as we just didn't have time/energy/a comfort level yet. Surprisingly, to our relief, we heard "No problem." No pressure?! Mr. Gomez gave us, most helpfully, a "Make/Model 'Summary Sheet'" to review in our own time. The next day I was passed back to the second S&LC. We came to an agreed upon set of numbers. They provided me with possible solutions/options, scenarios regarding funding - nothing firm but "it was 'close enough.'" We decided. Another day, passed back to Mr. Gomez. "Mr. Gomez, sir, I have numbers agreed upon with your Team Member...." Mr. Gomez: "Can you come in today?" "Yes, but we have a very tight window of opportunity, and it's at night." Mr. Gomez: "No problem. I'll get the car ready for you. I'll just need some information ahead of time...." That evening, under the careful, considerate, and patient guidance of Mr. Gomez, my wife and I successfully navigated the Honda Finance application site. Did we qualify? Yes. Was the negotiated price, the numbers the same? Yes. Next, the Business Manager: "Here's your paperwork. Oh, weren't you just here? Let me refresh you with that paperwork too! You don't remember seeing a document? No problem! If you need it, just call me. Here's my card...." A 2024 Honda Accord EX - silver, with heated seats - was ready for my wife. Raining outside? No problem. The Valley Honda prep team let us use their garage for pictures and drive out. And Mr. Gomez? He. Stayed. Late. Long after his shift was over, ensuring every detail was attended to. Roland was very patient and had (or got) answers for all our questions. He made himself available and encouraged us to come back with more questions after "trying out" the car for a while. He also was very kind and concerned when he found out the car had to come back for minor repair. He did impart one piece of important information that I later found to not be entirely accurate, which kind of bothered me, but we love the car he sold us. :) More
